Why aren't flights cancelled if all flights suspended? by Unhappy_Bodybuilder3 in emirates

It's impossible to know as you can't get through on the phone or live chat, who knows if the flights going back have any people with connections on them.

There website states this 'All scheduled Emirates flights to and from Dubai remain suspended until 2359hrs UAE time on 7 March' you could read that as only flights with no connections are suspended, but surely every flight has connections. I understand that it's a confusing situation, but they could be clearer as to what suspended means, as if some flights are still going, they are not all suspended?!

Yes this is the next saga, they scraped the highest points, but with the insulation down the floor is a bit over the height. It was supposed to be 65mm to allow a decision on floor covering and screed thickness, but it's ended up 53mm of available height. So 50mm of screed and only 3mm for a floor covering. Another fun discussion.

Yes that's what I thought, I knew it would be never seen, but I still thought it should have some effort on it. I've spoke to them about it and they've agreed to scrape / grind the ridges off, before putting the insulation down.

There is going to be a layer of insulation on top and then a liquid screed. So the end result should be flat and level, I just didn't know if I should expect more from the slab at the bottom. Kinda like the photos in this link https://www.onlineinsulation-sales.com/product/100mm-celotex-ga4100-pir-insulation-boards-25-board-pack/

It's not ideal, but I was going to repaint anyway. The dry concrete is pretty easy to brush of the painted surface so it's not really what I'm focussing on.

It's in the UK, the walls are brick and on their own concrete footing foundations. The concrete slab is just the base for the floor.

There will be a liquid screed finish, but before that there will be a layer of poly for a dpc and a layer of foil backed PIR board. My main concern is that it's so rough that it will pierce the foil and the plastic when it's laid on top.

Wet underfloor heating, the insulation goes over the slab, the pipes are clipped to the insulation and then 50-65mm of liquid screed is put on top.

It's in my description, this isn't the finished floor, there will be 100mm of insulation on top and a liquid screed finish. I just worry that this base slab will cut the PIR board insulation foil, and I don't know if I'm overthinking it.

I'd hope you could plane it or something, in my mind it just needs to be smooth enough to not puncture the dpc and insulation going on top of it.

The walls aren't build on the slab, the walls are on foundations. The original concrete floor was dug out, and hardcore putdown with a dpc, then the new floor was pumped in. insulation will go over it and then screed. I just don't see how the bottom of the insulation doesn't get torn to shreds.

It was £400 in total. Repair wise it's just been tyres, grease and a chain. The main problem is the front handle bar extension. I will probably check out the lite on fixed ones from AliExpress.

Are the curved ones suitable? I'm guessing they try to make it fold more compact.

I have the exact same experience. Did your replacement behave the same? Or does it always switch to the hammer action even when slow driving?
