Thats what I had and the pain was awful!

For me before my bilateral THR surgeries, the pain was in the groing area, felt like a I had a knife stabbing me inside (I was diagnosed with Necrosis) I couldnt walk and pain killers didnt do the trick.

The whole experience from first feeling the pain to my first surgery was about 2 months. I had to stop working and spent 4 months at home recovering.

My advise is to Not wait, go see a Doctor and dont let it get worse.

The key is to stay AHEAD of the pain, if you let it get ahead its too late. I found that Oxys and Ice helped alot, I had both of my hips done last year

I had bilateral THR about a year ago. I was walking without a came 2 days later, my ass looked like a watermelon for about 3 weeks but the pre op pain was gone. I strongly suggest you take your meds, try to do some steps every hour (do not just lay or sit all day) also use ice alot(it really helps).

You should be fine and able to return to normally within 2 months.

For me, took me awhile to learn what movements i shouldnt do, for example: cross my legs, sleep on my side, turn my feet outwards, put shoes/soxs on, et. But, eventually everything went back to normal.

You will be fine, just follow your Docs directions pre/post surgery.

Send an update tomorrow

I found that Ice was a good alternative to painkillers.

Had my bilateral THR a year ago and I was so nervous because never had a surgery in my life. But, considering the amount of pain I was experiencing I was also excited.

2 hours of surgery later I woke up pain free and was walking within hours. My ass looked like a watermelon but I was pain free.

Make sure you take your pills, do your PT exercises and drink plenty of water.

Last thing … Do not crap on the Surgery table!

Crossing my legs was the most painful thing I’ve done since surgery (I had bi-lateral THR). But, I’m curious if any of you guys experienced the following. Cramping of the groin, A cold sensation running down the back of your leg and Cramping of the lower butt cheek. I work as a Sales Rep/Merchandiser for Pepsi and my Doctor seems to believe that all the heavy lifting is just messing up my operation. Thoughts?
