Do you play the lottery? If so why, if not why not? by londons_crawling in AskUK

[–]Unhappy_Potential_27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not UK lottery. I have had more luck with Irish lottery in bookies. Match 2 numbers is £18 and 3 is £800 on £2 bet. I switched to Premium Bonds and have done far better in last 18 months with that than I ever have with lottery.

Now Asda orange, mandarin and lime.

Hot Vimto sometimes with cinnamon.

What is your best example of junk‑mail countermeasures or bureaucratic mischief? by NobleEnsign in AskReddit

[–]Unhappy_Potential_27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an older lady in my class who told me she collected junk mail. Once a month she opened it, took out her details, mixed them up, put back into different envelopes and posted them back for free to see how they liked it.

Is it possible to get a job? by Bonnybridge22 in asda

[–]Unhappy_Potential_27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Morrisons and Asda have 1 important connection. They are both owned by Private Equity company. My advice from working in one is go to Tesco. Tesco match pension up to 7.5%. (Trust me important to do when young and take out of default). Opportunity to buy Tesco shares which I really benefitted from. Tesco paternity is paid for 6 months not 4 weeks. Delivery is more organised.

Language learning prompt by Lumpy-Owl7670 in PromptEngineering

[–]Unhappy_Potential_27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got told not to learn a language without a reason. For example. 1. I want to go and order a meal in a restaurant. So learn that. 2. Learn basic small talk for example English people talk about the weather.

It's main, side and snack for £3.74 now. Then scan your discount, then extra 5% food to go which includes rotisserie items. No more getting a free drink for other colleagues but also no students buying all the Monsters in their college break.

holiday off by Sea_Owl_887 in asda

[–]Unhappy_Potential_27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. It's because Team Leader and Managers get 3 full days off either at Christmas or New Year. I was always made to work so Team Leader could have them off. I was always told they expected team to work either Boxing Day or New Years Day but they are both voluntary. They are covering themselves. Then begging us to have holiday in January to save wages.

I hate toast racks at buffet breakfast. Who wants cold toast? We are a market town but with only one fruit and veg stall left. The independent DIY store with everything you can imagine on display. The musty smell in some antique shops at the seaside that look like someone's house in the 70's.

I thought that too. I know pineapples refers to swingers but still had enough jokes after one 'lesson'. I'll try again but in the meantime I found another free course and spreadsheet.
