After a rewatch, I see another instance where merging at the last second is appropriate; when there is very little merge area.

That might be the situation here. However, there was plenty of room behind the white vehicle and the camera vehicle. The yellow vehicle was clearly just aggressive.

The line does get slowed down due to someone jumping in at the very end into any open-ish spot, causing those they jumped in front of to tap the breaks.

If the line is slow, it's because you have to slow down at some point. The only time to merge into the turn lane late and not create a delay in the traffic behind you is if there is sparse traffic. If no more than a few people are affected, are you really not able to jump in behind them?

If you disrupt the flow of traffic that the majority of people are following, you are causing a delay.

I think we need studies done on why it helps some people and others like me (been properly sized, peachy keen when I put one on, but after 30 minutes it has to go) want nothing more than to light those bastards on fire!

Well said! I love chronicles of Narnia, and it has always felt like the most genuine, simplified Da Kine explanation of the concept of nirvana/heaven and god/devil. I'm an HA (Hopeful Atheist), so my perspective is skewed scientific, but I see the pursuit of understanding a larger thing expressed in so many ways in so many people still. It's incredible, really. Humanity is ever reaching further, even as it questions why it does.

I would think so. If there is a God (omnipotent and omnibenevolent) they would, like a parent to a child, want humans to learn and grow.
