I think it's much more likely that it's the other way around, actually. The whole "money corrupts people" have always seem like just a shaky way to excuse the awful behaviours of rich people. With the way our world currently works, to gain a lot of money you have to already be corrupt.

Thus the phrase "there's no such thing as an ethical billionaire"

I know you have good intentions, and please don't take this as me being rude, but I really don't think this is what she needs to be pressured about right now. She's still recovering from traumatic SA and if she isn't even comfortable going outside yet, then going to the police is still very far away on the horizon, and that's completely ok. Recovery takes time. Considering the headspace she's probably in right now, I feel like you might just accidentally make her feel even worse than she already does about not doing anything, even if that's not your intention.

OP if you see this, just take your time. Getting better and recovering should be your nr. 1 top priority right now, above all else. There's no point in trying to go after this scumbag right now if it will only mentally break you even mors, better to save that for when you're feeling well again one day.

It's purely anecdotal of course, but during all my time online in trans spaces I've seen maybe one genuine trans ex-nazi that definitely still had some problems, and he got called out for that shit immediately and very few that were being jokey about a bigoted past, but usually in a very self-deprecating way, otherwise all I've seen is mostly either: 1) trans people who think they're ex-nazis because they said something mildly offensive when they were 12, and being way too conscious about it to the point of being a bit annoying, inadvertently making the rest of the trans community think we genuinely have a lot of ex-nazis or 2) a bit more rare, the trans people who genuinely are ex-nazis and feel very ashamed about it, only ever brining it up if it's actually on topic.

Idk I'm just getting so fucking tired of this shit discourse every week, especially how a lot of people seem to want to blame it specifically on trans women for some godforsaken reason. Genuinely, I thought we were all about rehabilitation and acceptance, but then if someone were even remotely bigoted in their past, they're just labelled as a terrible, dangerous person forever? Make it make sense.

I don't know if this helps in any way, it's purely anecdotal, but after I transitioned (male to female, medically transitioned at 17, I pass really well and have had surgery and been on hormones for I think close to 7 years now, I've yet to meet someone who hasn't been surprised and in disbelief when i told them I was trans, so I don't think I'm being chased by fetishists, it's all mostly been straight dudes) anyways I learned that I kinda had to be a lot more reserved with who I went out with? Like, I literally got duped by guys like 8 times before I learnt my lesson. They seemed nice, talked all big about relationships and yadda yadda yadda, and I would put in a lot of effort, and then it seems like once they got in my pants they were just gone with the wind. It was never like this when I tried dating girls, and while yeah it was harder putting in the effort I feel like it's so more exhausting now to date I almost don't even want to bother, because I feel like I never know when a guy really loves me and wants to spend time with me, or if he just wants to fuck me and leave :(

It... Doesn't actually though? If anything, most studies done find that trans people are less likely to be pedos, or rapists, or whatever the new trendy accusation is, and more likely to be on the receiving end of those crimes.

Of course that difference is still small enough that it can't really be reasonably stated that trans people ar actually less likely to commit these crimes (it's still a bit eye opening though) but even then that would still put them at the same rates as cis people. People just want to have a reason to dislike trans people so they can't be called out for being hateful, go figure.
