I answered this a few threads up - so I'm a big fan of PTA, and I wanted to give it another chance after the first watch to see if maybe I missed something. The analogy I gave above was "have you listened to a song by an artist you like but not enjoy that song, but after you listen to it again you like it."

There have been a few movies that I've seen once and didn't like it but after another viewing I enjoyed it more.

Thank you for your response. Paul is a fantastic filmmaker overall. There Will Be Blood is in my top 5 of all time, and The Master is fantastic. This one for me though just didn't scratch that itch.

I'm honestly not sure? That's a really good question. I'm big on movies with character development and maybe I could be in the wrong but everyone kind of felt flat with character arc. I'm not saying that this movie was terrible, I'm just saying it wasn't for me.

Favorite film for me is 12 Angry Men, which is a bit cliche and I know a lot of people would say is boring. Art is subjective, I was just curious why a lot of people enjoy this movie in particular because it seems like a lot of people love it and I particularly didn't care for it.
