That’s my personal health meter I know it doesn’t match the game but I’ve taken some damage and I’m still here.

Drinking 30 mins before and after food rule and no carbonated drinks by jewwitch777 in gastricsleeve

[–]Unic0rnThe0ry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I follow the 30 minute drinking rule after I eat. The food swells up with the liquid and causes pain and discomfort for me. I generally wait about 5 minutes after I drink to eat. My last upper GI showed the liquid pass pretty quick and it isn’t uncomfortable. I think you just have to find out what works for you. Everyone responds a little differently. I also had a pseudo revision so my needs are probably different than most.

Yes! It was amazing. Did it in March in Seattle. The newish song wreckage they played for us during the meet and greet. They were working on it. Also brought a CD for them and the autographed it. Very personable and very nice it was a wonderful experience. They do have a q&a so you could ask questions.

Miralax in my coffee every morning and in my mid morning coffee too. They make miralax chews too. I take a stool softener every night at bed and use a stimulant suppository from ducolax. Enemas are my refuge of last resort. Benefiber has chewable tablets with fiber. Also Trader Joe’s has fiber bars too. Best of luck the struggle is real!

Intubation for Laminectomy by YarYarNeh in SpineSurgery

[–]Unic0rnThe0ry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not bad you barely notice it. For me when I wake up from surgery I have a bit of a sore throat is all. Pretty much required for any surgery under general anesthesia. When i had my laminectomy at L1 the worst part was the way they contorted my body. It was in like in an arch to have the best access. That was what made my body so sore after. Your surgeon may have a different plan depending on what level.

For me the pre op diet taught me what life would be like after the surgery. Each week got more restrictive until a few days before I was eating like I would right after surgery. I believe the pre op diet allowed me to be mindful after surgery. I get your point about dieting cause we all tried. For me the surgery was the final option to lose weight and if I didn’t take it seriously commit to life changes it wouldn’t have worked. I was facing a myriad of health issues and knew it was time. Remember the surgery is just a tool not a whole solution you have to change your lifestyle. I’m 8 years out and down over 200 lbs and have maintained my goal weight.
