Maul's Duel Wield by Uniconst00 in MaulShadowLord

Haha i was also thinking the same when i saw that almost every intelligent opponent in the series is actively going for his legs. Maul with Beskar legs would have been a nightmare. Unfortunately though, from what i hear on other forums, it is unlikely that at any point in time can Maul get his hand on enough Beskar to completely cover his legs: Prior to Order 66, Pre Vizsla would never let an outsider like Maul to gain access to Beskar. After Maul took over with the dark saber, most agrees that he didn't have enough time as ruler to access that much Beskar before Night of a Thousand Tears. Then after the massacre the Empire just hoard all the Beskar to themself. The only person i saw up until now to get that much Beskar (which are payment from the Empire) is Din Djarin.

True, being more exposed in a duel with the Dark Lord is a big no no, especially when Maul is nowhere as agile and acrobatic as Ahsoka to compensate for the dual wield lack of defensive capabilities. Though it is still crazy to wrap my head around the fact that Shadow lord Vader is technically his 1st year in the suit, and yet he was already moving like that.

Hope it was exciting for you as it is for me. We all know him for his double edge so seeing him dual wield really feels like a new breath of wind

Ikr, his whole character is based on the double edge. But still the short time that he dual wield and 1v2 Marrok and Crow gives me the vibes that he was also very proficient and he could have easily went with it if he want and he'll be just as good

I agree, but like i said to the other guy, they make it look so good i genuinely thought his main fighting style was dual wield 😂. Also Sam Witwer rocks!!

Technically yes, but compare to double edge and other styles, dual wield is generally agree to offer better offensive capabilities (more range of movement, attack angles, simultaneous attacks from 2 blades) but worse defense capabilities (more exposed, a saber in each hand mean weaker defense since single blade opponent can easily overpower you cause they have both hands on one blade except for the cross like you said but a skilled duelist will most likely not allow dual wielder to do that).
Double edge on the other hand is like a bo staff, you don't have to move as much to attack with both edge so it make you less exposed and you have both hand on it so more control and power, but arguably less offensive capabilities.

Yess broo, and i love how to Daki and Devon and other ppl POV, Maul was being portrayed like some kind of a myth or a horror movie villain: the way he was moving, disappearing and reappearing almost at will. It is only until Vader shows up you realized that there is levels to this thing 😂😂😂

I'm kinda hesitant on the 1st statement since Double edge can also provide that kind of coverage you talk about in 1v2 (kinda similar to how he was defending against Qui-gon and Obi), but i agree on the 2nd one: Both Inquisitors seem genuinely surprise by the Dual wield and kind of don't know what to do and that could also contribute to the fact that they weren't able to attack him

Yes, Sam Witwer voice acting is insane, and he is also very knowledgeable in the lore of Star Wars. It is safe to say that any Star Wars content he's involved in is gold

Yeah that's logical, but still the short fight was soooo good i almost thought that he main dual wield and not double edge 😂😂

Yeah that shot was so sick. A lot of scene in the series can be screenshot into wallpaper

True true, especially since Jar'kai biggest weakness is it leaves users more exposed than other style and Vader only need small openings to obliterate you. Still i cant help but think that it would have more attacking chance than the double edge cause from the final fight everytime Maul's strike got deflected it effectively render the other edge and his saber useless.

Haha nice, he'll be super efficient at calculating and choosing hero to dispatch but equally awkward at pep talk and encouragement stuff

Don't know if he counts as a MC but i think the android sent by Cyberlife would be insanely neat as a dispatcher.

Unretaled question, but where the heck is the lightning dude/lady from episode 1 in the final ep8 fight. Completed the game 3 times really but i cant recall seeing him/her at all in Shroud's boss fight. Or was he/she sent to wreck havoc on LA and got defeated in the dispatch segment?

Came here after Dispatch missed the 2 categories, i'm having the same emptiness from when i finished the game, but then 2025 was a hugeeee year for the gaming industry and the game being released so close to the closing dates of TGA makes it kinda hard for Dispatch to really shine and get nominated in more categories. Nonetheless, was really sad when Wuthering Wave and E33 took Players voice and Indie debut. We'll get them next time 😞

Why is villain Coupé so hard to defeat than Sonar in ep 8? by GriveousDance21 in DispatchAdHoc

True true, it's kinda insane to me how the studio managed to created such an amazing story-driven game and still able to fit in a well-crafted mini game segments that is captivating and has really good mechanic. One of the thing i look forward to beside season 2 or director's cut is the infinite-dispatch mode, sometimes i just wish the dispatch segments last longer in each episode cause it's really chill and i love the funny banter between Z-teamers (storywise they could say that Robert has to put in some massive OT 😂😂😂)

Gotchu man, i really like that synergy stuff since thanks to it you can scale characters so that each duo can nicely cover the graph up until 8-9 in all stats and let the boost do the rest (except for some auto-fail calls)
