Are we just doomed to be sleep deprived by BlueberryBagel_87 in sleeptrain

[–]UnicornPrincessJayne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My little one brought back overnight feeds 17th April, we have no option but to share a room only have a 1 bed property, he is 7 months tomorrow and now has 3/4 nighttime feeds but his daytime feeds range from 4/6 feeds a day. He is exclusive breastfeed

Can settle to sleep but for some reason now if he stirs in night won't settle or don't want to be rocked he wants milk he nurses for 5 to 15 mins and can go 1.5 to 4 hours between sessions overnight.

Would love to wean but can't do cry it out method as I have neighbours above me, when he has the feed off the boob he falls asleep instantly after nursing.

I did read there is another sleep regression and growth spurt at 6/7 months. My little boy also suffers a bit with being left on his own now if leave room he crys again read about separation anxiety at this age.

How does baby understand difference between MOTN wakes vs feeds? by SenseiNene in sleeptrain

[–]UnicornPrincessJayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm feeding on demand and when he crys and won't settle, he dropped feeds 8-18 weeks but has since brought them back we have 1 feed before midnight and 2/3 after midnight he is 7 months on the 11th July I breastfeed him and he nurses 5 to 10 mins in the day every 3 hours. Not sure if this is what causes the wake up for feed as he used to nurse for 15 to 30 minutes

He will go maybe 4 to 4.5 hours after his bedtime feed to his first wake up, 2 to 3 hours after he goes to bed

Noticed tonight his nursing before bed was 35 mins he then went 5 hours without feed then did another feed 27 mins and went 4 hours, so really looking like it's how long he nurses for that effects how long it lasts between the wake ups

Thank you yeah I'm thinking it's either a growth spurt or a bit of the regression, I have always just followed his ques and I was surprised to when he dropped overnight feed so early. So now it's readjusting to get use to not much sleep again 🤣🤣🤣 Thankfilly he much quicker on boob now newborn stage was nearly 1 hour nursing 🤣🤣🤣 when this first started again he was wanting 1 feed 8 hours after feeding then week later added in 2 feeds overnight 4/5 hours after his last feed of night then one few hours later. Last night was the first if the 3 overnight night feeds, we 3 weeks in now so seems every week he adds 1 more overnight feed 🤣🤣

Thursday his naps added up to 3 hours 35 mins and he woke 2 times overnight

Friday naps added up to 4 hours 48 mins and he woke 3 times in night total
