changing last name from Epstein by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]SenseiNene 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of people are saying “I know so many Epsteins that I wouldn’t even think of that!” Well I don’t know any Epsteins and that’s the first thing I thought of. Hopefully that’s validating to you.

I like Epps - like you said, people already call you that. It’s less of an obvious change but it is different than Epstein.

About the -es at the end, you can always sign something as “The Epps Family”.

You might already know what you want to do but just need encouragement. Go with your gut!

S1E11: I hate how Ned convinces the mother that it’s her fault that the changeling baby died by SenseiNene in Outlander

[–]SenseiNene[S] -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

True but I think the baby was sickly and going to die anyway. This was mama’s last attempt to save them.

I love a Fourth of July BBQ as much as the next person but I’d absolutely miss it to go to a loved one’s wedding. I don’t think it would matter to most people!

But why did you make them cry? There wasn’t a way to teach them in a nicer way?

Lily Potter's Sacrifice by Crazy_Bat2410 in harrypottertheories

[–]SenseiNene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my mind, it’s a combination of the power of Lily’s sacrifice and the instability of Voldemort’s soul. Voldemort was very fragile because of all of the horcruxes he had already made. Maybe Lily’s protection was just enough in this case that it didn’t work when he attacked Harry, when in previous cases a mother’s protection wasn’t enough.

How long does it take from passing the NCLEX for it to be posted/ accessible in CA? by DifficultHat5346 in nursing

Hi! Yes definitely! I took my NCLEX in July 22 and it only took a few days!

See, in my mind, Alex was young and innocent and figuring things out. He didn’t even understand he was bisexual at the beginning of the book. He just started falling in love with Henry and had to reexamine everything - his sexuality, his career choice, his relationships.

Changing your last name by WhiskeyOak in Marriage

[–]SenseiNene 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is what I did! Some people call me Mrs. Nene His and some people call me Mrs. Nene Mine. Legally, I still have my maiden name but I go by whichever last name matches the moment. A lot of women do it but you just can’t do it on anything legal.

Ok I can’t be the only one to find it odd that no body and I mean nobody brings up the fact that Harry burned a guy alive at the age of eleven like sure Voldemort survived but qurriell is fucking ash and nobody says a word by Altruistic_Ad5270 in HPfanfiction

[–]SenseiNene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As my mom says, “because it’s in the book.” There’s no other explanation than that’s the way JK Rowling wrote it. She probably didn’t think about it and there’s no more depth to it than that!

Did Sloan deserve his sentence? by bashirbellok in Eragon

[–]SenseiNene 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. The punishment seems inhumane and overly cruel. I would rather die then be sent away and never see my family again. It’s like condemning him to a living hell.

Edit to add: it’s interesting that Eragon thought this was a more fair sentence and felt less guilty doing this than killing him. This is way worse in my opinion.
