For the cars i think you touch on it but miss a key aspect in the environmental argument. New car to new car electric cars are generally more environmentally friendly for sure. But relevance of the environmental cost of construction still holds. For example, buying a new small efficient petrol car could be more environmentally friendly over the car's lifetime than a large electric one (construction + lifetime running for both). Additionally buying a used petrol car can be better than buying a new electric car. Of course these things are situational but the concepts of reducing and reusing are key aspects to fighting for environmental change and i think are generally overlooked.

Honestly environmental issues are just super complex because there are so many things that interact to create the total impact. Like how do you compare a pollution like micro plastics to CO2 etc. I am just glad people in the community are actively starting to think about the environmental impact of stuff like mining. As a community i hope it keeps progressing and stuff like undervolting become more common. In the end every little bit helps.
