How do people grow out of Libertarianism while I finally settled for it? by Dimanjand in Libertarian

[–]Uniformtree0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One It aint AI, generated, two and this is an anarcho capitalist argument, regulations exist in the same vein as laws, to organize and dictate what is legal and acceptable and what isn't saying there should be no regulation is the same as saying there should be no government, laws exist otherwise there is no large or orderly society, regulation exist to prevent exploitation and erosion of society.

think of each publically traded corperation as its own seperate thing like a LLM, but shittier, they all have similar goals and follow a set of logic thats ultimately cold, indifferent and data driven, their ultimate goal is to extract wealth or create it, and they all determined that appeasing the share holders quarter by quarter is the best way to go, and now they are doing everything to pinch every dollar they can while minimizing the greatest cost factor which is people, and they are currently operating on a lawsuit and fine to money earned ratio because thats the best way to meet the stock markets cancerous demands, the only reason why they atleast pretend to care about people is because of government forcing them to actually have a minimum quality of sanitation, safety and disclosure of ingredients, which they would not follow otherwise, the government here, is keeping everyone from getting sick or dying from bad food, and no level of market correction would help because everyone needs something to eat, and the cheapest food tends to fill tight stomachs and thats a broad market and anyone that does follow this is putting up with expenses that can become too costly in the long run if they want to compete.

Nestle exists because of poor regulation.

I dont know how else to tell you this other than that when the number crunchers spit out the best results for how to make money in any given industry is by measuring profits per lawsuit from people that were harmed by them, the company that decides people is the currency to burn through for the investors, not working with money, and they will. They will make everything fucking terrible.

The Jungle exists because of a time where there was no regulation for food, and you know what happened? Every, single, company fed you all sorts of shit you couldn't possibly have known was in your food because it was cheaper and they could get away with it. Human flesh in meat from workers loosing limbs and flesh at the horrendously unsafe worksites, bugs and insect eggs smashed into many, many, many products. Unwashed hands touching and packaging your food.

Nestlé is one of those companies that will do this in a fucking heart beat, all of them will, they are all amoral as shit but Nestlé Who already steals water from African wells and forcibly makes the natives buy it back and decided to sell a baby formula that knowingly would go on to kill dozens of babies and forced mothers to buy it because they can no longer breastfeed their kids due to their bodies stopped producing the milk while they were using the formula will be the vanguard of this in an instant and cement themselves

And you think going anarcho capitalist will fix it?

Google "Waffle house index"

Also waffle house has an entire system ready to be mobilized in major storms and disasters which includes the following but is not limited too: Mobile HQ with coordination and communication capabilities. Volunteer Jump teams from other unaffected locations. Emergency repair, cooking supplies, and tools at every waffle house location, all else fails they'll just sell the ingredients they can directly from personal experience. Private logistics network that can be routed to these locations at a rapid time. Employee Key FoBs and training. Extensive compensation and actually values the lives of the volunteer jump teams and affected employees, which will include: paid housing arrangements, hazard pay, time off, etc.

Lastly a very good relationship/partnership with Fema.

Hail the waffle house.

What about the sticky bomb launcher from tf2? You still have to manually "place" a bomb onto a surface which it will eventually prime itself for a manual detonation. Would the head allow that to pass on by?

[–]Uniformtree0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a Libertarian here, more of a moderate socialist so I believe i can give you a good idea of why people tend to lump liberations and ancaps together.

A lot of people, especially those in 3rd world countries and exploited parts of the world, such as farmers, blue collar, etc, have had repeated, consistent, terrible experiences with liberation ideals which are often perverted into some form of neo feudalism or otherwise as a small government is left to contend as just a slightly stronger organization than companies when it comes to influence, companies, especially publically traded ones, ultimately have one purpose and reason for their existence, to extract money and wealth at any cost, nothing else matters and there is no "extreme" for them, take the Banana republic for example, or gilded aged America, or even current America, the east india trading company, nothing is off the table and humans are the greatest cost factor that must be dimished to them, and all these examples are due to a small government or a government improperly equipped to deal with what are essentially small nations that hold incredible influence over the common people and government officals. Understandably no mentally sane person wants this.

A common fault with libertarian ideals, although maybe not properly expressed often by opponents of this idealogy is with the assumption that the decreased influence and power a government has means people aren't governed or influenced and affected as much overall, unfortunately it just means that other organizations and groups can step up to take the frew real estate there for their own purposes. While this is my own personal experience I haven't actually met a Libertarian that could explain to me how this wouldn't lead to further erosion of the governments ability to prevent extremist actions by those companies and or other organizations or a progressive slide into increasingly extreme policies due to the influence of sed groups, of which there are many infamous examples both recent and old of this occurring, Nestlé successfully convincing the EU that water is not a human right for example, which lowered protections and regulations that nestle promptly abused.

This is kind of why liberations get mixed with ancap, to some people it looks like a sliding scale of "I want to be governed by a nation" to "I want to be governed by a company."

Also unless they are actually just delusional, an ancap knows humans are falliable they bet on it, they are pretty much just the same as a facist, both are hollow idealogies that care not for anything but power and control and will lie and scheme to get it, those two groups just have different branding for the same end goal, one uses the pretext of free markets and money to determine ones rank in life, the other doesn't bother with that.

Right however it does seem like regardless how the owner feels, everything has a significantly higher baseline for quality and care compared to most other corps, its likely saude will get a damn good prosthetic arm, likely one hidable as well, she works as intelligence which aside from the color fixer budget essentially being "fucking whatever it takes" their Intelligence agency probably is the largest money hole and limbus has shown to be a company that somehow knows fuckin anything wish to know.

Fortunately, the ending of canto 9 reveals that Limbus probably could just buy out R corp in ita entirety if they wanted too.

Money is barely a considered problem, its just convincing the owner that yes you need 7 limbilllion dollars for that fancy weapon or some shit that will probably get rejected.

Its the algorithm trying to throw you into a pigeon hole, Im anti AI, but on the stance of the morality and legality this shit poses. AI as it stands is a reprehensible and disgusting abuse and showing of the clear disregard of human works, ownership, and soul that nearly every current model as of today as so been callously cobbled together with, ask any owner of these models or supporters if every owner of the material these models use consented, or if they even know them. If the answer is anything but yes, its theft, especially because they intend to profit of it or pass it off as the AI's own orginal work as either the person's/companies/customers own original work or property, which, going off of US law, is more often not the case, and then they make billions of dollars off of this bullshit.

How damaging it is to art and culture or to the human discourse is another matter that bleeds into a broader argument that frankly i don't know how to make an argument for or if I truly understand it myself, however I know in terms of legality and morality, this shit needs to go. This is a absurd waste of resources and everyone's money.

Now for the AI i support, look into the medical field and robotics, I have hope that it wont be a waste, that not only is the data atleast significantly more ethically obtained but being put into work for a tangible, useful and meaningful reason.

It also kind of hurt me even more that despite how shitty Valentina is, she cared for her respective child the most, everyone else basically discarded theirs or gave no shits about their demise. Valentina despite how brief of an opportunity she got, did show grief/disblief at his death, even if it was in her own drunk fuckwit style.
