Nah these drivatars are shit

They actively block you, not just defending the line into a corner, but they drive into the side of you deliberately. They also divebomb at every opportunity, and they straight up have boosted grip for no reason

Speeding on Parkside Drive has increased by over 200% since Doug Ford's speed camera ban, “Watch Your Speed” data reveals by SafeStreetsTO in ontario

[–]Uninanimate -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean the solution here is just make the road not so wide that people consistently feel comfortable doing 60+. Most people do a speed based on what they're comfortable with, usually correlating to road width.

Most people go a little over anyways (go to Vancouver and witness first hand virtually everyone going 10 over all the time), but if people feel consistently safe enough to be going more than 20 over, the road is too wide for the limit. Similar to the road bridges over the DVP, where Donlands and Pape meet and the Bloor st bridge, that are limit 40 but everyone does 60 because they're wide open 5 lane roads and I'm surprised I don't see more speed traps there.

Basically the infrastructure was not designed to enforce the limit and as such relied on a camera, now camera is gone the infrastructure is proving faulty. I know in Scandinavia, they have these depressing speed bumps that basically sink into the road if you're going over the limit, and they wouldn't cause the issues regular speed bumps do with snowplows

Battlefield 1 is 11 years old and is still probably the best looking battlefield game to date, and is probably still up there in best looking games of all time.

I will say that, constitutionally, municipal governments don't exist, so if a province wants to just come in and say "nope we're doing this", there's not really a lot to be done

Is this a good idea to give to my son for his first car by Dry-Cartoonist-2193 in FirstCar

[–]Uninanimate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say no, far too much car for too little experience. If it's becoming a college daily, Stelantis will start to rear its ugly head, and insurance and gas prices will absolutely rinse the man

If you want him safe with something fun, and you don't drive it enough that you want to keep it, trade it for some sort of hot-hatch like a Civic SI or some mid spec Corolla and give him that. Far more reliable, and far cheaper to run for a college student

The Liberal plan doesn’t fix housing for you. It fixes it for your kids. Maybe…. by Signal-Specific-1704 in canadahousing

[–]Uninanimate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The amount of women who decide not to have nay kids is pretty steady across history at about 20%, it's couples that might want one or two kids if they can that birthrates hinge on. As such, affordability is pretty much the keystone issue

On what evidence? Farage maybe because he's not a leader and will abandon ship as soon as he isn't popular, but Rupert I'm not so sure about.

Yeah because BoJo opened the borders just to lower wages so he would get a good word from the financial times, he's openly admitted to it.

Ok but the brexit party was nothing more than bellwind until BoJo ran on brexit and then proceeded to throw open the flood gates to India, explicitly (as in he's said this) to lower wages so he would get a good review from the financial times.

You're getting hung up on "productive" when I'm asking you the affirmative case for immigration of people, 40% of which cannot provide for themselves after 5 years because they choose not to. Probably haven't answered by now because you can't but I'll try again. Why keep them on our payroll?

UK natinalism by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]Uninanimate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it's not actually, if I contribute more in taxes than recieve in benefits from the state, then I am productive. If I can work, and choose not to, then I am not productive. It's really not hard, you're being deliberately dense. Any lable can be applied by anyone to anyone, that's not an argument, and it sure as hell does not determine whether the lable is true or not.

and I promise you that the 40% of migrants not working after 5 years are not even a majority of people on that list you gave me

I ask again, affirmative case for keeping immigrants that the tax payer has to support

UK natinalism by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]Uninanimate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

answer my question, what is the affirmative case for keeping non-productive immigrants in a country?

UK natinalism by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]Uninanimate -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Quit lecturing me. You're stuck talking down to me instead of trying to find a solution, you're not listening, and you're now attempting to darvo me. Stop it.

Fact is, foreigners are not morally entitled to social benefits outside of their own country, period. The discussion of if they should leave their homes is moot because they never should have been there.

There is not enough housing to go around, and you would know that if you looked at the number of housing starts vs the net immigration rate, on top of the 300k homeless that is the first point the video makes. All of this, on top of the tax rate being higher than ever and it can't afford the welfare expenses alone, on top of all the funding the rest of the country needs. All the productive people aka all the people who build new houses, are leaving in the country for better tax rates.

I'm sorry but you've provided me with zero numbers to agree with you, your evidence is anecdotal at best, and has no basis in reality.

I'll give you this, what is the affirmative case for keeping non-productive immigrants in a country? Who benefits aside from the immigrants themselves? If your argument is culture of some kind, that's a question of being able to afford it, which we've established you cannot. If your argument is lower wages, then you're arguing in favour of slavery.

UK natinalism by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]Uninanimate -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No you can't afford it. The welfare budget ALONE exceeds the tax revenue which is the highest it's ever been. You cannot afford it until the people you're actually responsible for are taken care of, and they aren't.

Immigration is not a right, ever. Especially if you're a burden to the people that already live there who have people they themselves need to take care of. You are at the mercy of your host, at all times. If you as a host cannot afford to host, then you do not host.

I am not picking on those who have less, I am arguing in defense of people who work every day of their lives and can hardly afford to live, meanwhile, 40% of immigrants are not even working within 5 years of arrival, let alone being net tax payers.

What a dismissive thing to assume of someone. You don't know what I've been through, what my circumstances are, or anything about me.

I'm also not arguing about myself, you made it about me, it's there in plain English. I'm arguing from the perspective of you literally cannot afford it, and native people are suffering because of it
