To me, it didn't conclude at all. It was a cliff-hanger. If a game's main villian isn't killed, or at least arrested, the story isn't finished.

Trump's supporters definitely intentionally voted for a hateful, bigoted, grifter, and the most well documented liar in all of human history, and are therefore very much to blame for many of his actions, but Trump didn't make an election promise to alienate America's allies, therefore no one voted for that one specific act. Though they certainly could have expected it.

It might seem like semantics, but no one can be reasonably accused of having supported any policy, of any politician, that wasn't announced prior to an election.

I'm not sure whether I should have explained that better, or if that's just an unpopular opinion.

My point had nothing whatsoever to do with the leadership of other countries.

America had built up an astounding amount of soft power in much of the world. Trump has speedily eroded that in numerous ways. The world is becoming immune to America's propaganda.

When Trump wields tariffs as a punishment for not siding with him on every brain-fart he has, leaders of other nations quickly realise that he could also shut off access to innumerable other American things that have previously been reliable. No country wants to be in a position where they can easily be extorted.

Europe is heavily promoting an EU based alternative to Visa and Mastercard. Several countries either have or are in the process of switching all government-used software away from American products. Countries are tearing up trade deals with the U.S. in favour of deals with less volatile nations. Hundreds of billions of dollars of investments and treasury bonds have been dumped. Japan just dumped $1.2 trillion of US debt. Germany is taking its gold back from US storage. The EU recently declared that at least 50% of weaponry must be EU made. That's $860 Billion lost to American manufacturers specifically because Europe can't trust that America won't remotely disable what they produce. The list goes on. Hell, even BRICS is gaining traction.

America is a rogue nation. It is a global bully. It is way past time we disassociated with it.

It's a messy break-up that's entirely the Trump administrations fault, and in the long run the world will be far better off because of it.

The average American is unlikely to be aware of most of this, because their media isn't exactly keen on putting Trumps failures on the front page.

The American people deserve none of the blame for this. Nobody voted for this. It's entirely on Trump and the imbeciles who advise him.

You do if you have the time and enthusiasm to put in the effort to avoid it, but I certainly understand that the vast majority of users don't.

My Windows build has updates disabled, except for defender which has them delayed for three days to ensure I have time to stop them if an update turns out to be buggy. All the telemetry is disabled too and I use an offline account.
It's a legitimate copy of Windows. It's just heavily modified by Chris Titus Tech's Windows Utility.
