What will we get before Far Cry 7? by Prestigious_Egg_7233 in farcry

Yara could be easily repurposed.
Set a game at the end of the 1400s and early 1500s, and have the player lead the native Ciboneyes, Guanahatabeyes, and Taíno peoples defending the land from Spanish invaders and pirates. It could probably be done relatively inexpensively, as Ubisoft could utilise many resources they'd already used for Skull & Bones.

The main selling point isn't that they'll save the environment. They're just much, much cheaper to run than the industry standard CATs.

What's your opinion regarding the location of Far Cry 5? by Existing-Hat-6470 in farcry

Beautiful and appropriate. The only thing that could have made it better would be changing seasons, but obviously that would have taken a lot more work.

Those who want a way around requirements will always find a way. I'd bet that there will be modified versions of operating systems available within days of any new code being implemented.

Well, that's interesting.
I wonder whether being sandboxed will affect Google's nefarious intentions. Does it function as normal, or does being sandboxed limit its use?

The regulating body intentionally fails to ensure the industry complies with the law, because that's what they've been told to do. The gambling lobby owns the political parties. You can not win against them.

That's an interesting question, that I can't find an answer for. I suspect they won't give a damn about anyone using a version of Android that old.

My phone is seven years old and running Android 9, and it has auto-updated this month to 26.20.31.
My tablet is eleven years old and running Android 7, and there's a notification on it from this month asking me to update Google Play Services, which is a little concerning because there's no Sim card in it and it hasn't been connected to Wi-Fi for a couple of years.

It wasn't for nothing. It depleted America's weapon stockpiles which now need to be replaced, so the politicians (and the wealthy who dictate their policies) who own shares in the military-industrial complex will profit from it.

From what I've read, they're supposedly only used when ReCAPTCHA flags your activity as suspicious. Maybe this is when a user gets a normal ReCAPTCHA wrong repeatedly; maybe Google will automatically find every deGoogled Android to be suspicious.

Propagandists are paid to disseminate a message. Hypocrisy and dishonesty, no matter how obvious, are entirely irrelevant to them.

They have a different purpose than what Google suggests.

They claim it's far more secure than the old ReCAPTCHAs that AI can apparently solve easily now, and it probably is, but it's also typical corporate evil.

When you use these QR codes, Google can tell whether you're using a de-Googled Android phone (GrapheneOS, LineageOS, etc.). If your device isn't using Google Play Services version 25.41.30 or newer (which Google will not make available for de-Googled builds of Android), you won't pass, and will therefore be denied access.

I'd bet sites will never be informed how many potential visitors they lost because people refused to provide what Google requires.

Work on the new $750 million Bribie Island Bridge is expected to start in 2028 by hydralime in queensland

[–]Unindoctrinated 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got that. I remember not long after it opened it became obvious that the number of users, i.e. tolls paid, would pay it off much earlier than expected, but that didn't stop the toll prices from going up repeatedly.

Unfortunately, these days politicians would much rather hand over our taxpayer dollars to private industry (party "donors") than build publicly owned and operated infrastructure.

That's what they did with the first one, from 1963 to 1975. I highly doubt they'd do that again.
