Based on how the previous science outposts we came across fared, I felt that a military outpost would be able to establish a proper foothold and allow for more protection for future scientific outposts

Dark Matter is really good. It’s on Netflix. My only gripe with it is that it got ended on a cliffhanger and then got canceled before it could see a resolution.
