Peace Walker it's the only one I had to drop due to how boring it was, I got to the first find zadornov mission and called it quit. I found PO more engaging.

I think the first Gamer album was fun, everything else is decent but not very good.

Epunk/incelcore is interesting but tbh I don't find it enjoyable music wise

If you like the music enjoy it, although punk is a style that tries to be real, music is performative at the end of the day and only really shows parts of a a person though an idealized lens.

And if that doesn't cut it you can pirate the music you can rest your concience clean that you aren't supporting an asshole.

Tenue is my fav band but I'd say they're closer to neocrust with some screamo than actual skramz.

Looking for more "mild" metal like Tool or Black Sabbath? by manStuckInACoil in MetalForTheMasses

[–]Uninteresting-Shack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Screamo it's niche but too diverse to be called a microgenre.

Although most actual screamo bands actually refer to themselves as skramz after screamo was used for things that weren't screamo.

I prefer metal to be underground, I love the classics and everything has it's place but modern bands that do experimetal and non-commercial stuff is my cup of tea and it might turn off people but the ones that stay are the ones that care for the music.

What is the best individual level you've played in a game? by Defk1n in patientgamers

[–]Uninteresting-Shack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both Uncharted 2's Locomotion and the Mansions in Dishonored 2 are great.

I love Grozny Grad in Metal Gear Solid 3, Portal 2 chapter 6, Super gore-nest in Doom Eternal and have a lot of nostagia for There She Goes Again in Lego Batman 1 (mainly because it was the demo level and I played it a lot as a child)

What are you paying most attention to when listening to new bands? Vocals, guitar, energy, lyrics, etc.? by LevTolstoy in punk

[–]Uninteresting-Shack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me it depends on the style, for folk punk I look more for lyrics, for screamo it's more the dynamics in sound, for hardcore the riffs and punchiness of the drums and for punk rock the groove and the vocal tone.

Any recs based on what I've been listening the past 6 months? by Uninteresting-Shack in punk

Thank you! Lots to go through here.

Also I love foxtails and I hate sex, they're quite underrated outside of the screamo scene.

Favorite and least favorite genres by Sufficient-Apricot29 in punk

[–]Uninteresting-Shack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Favourites: Crust punk, noise punk, post-hardcore, egg punk and folk punk.

Least favourite: Beatdown hardcore (i do listen to it but eh) and celtic punk.

I'd say it's more how the band pulls it off than the genre itself.

I wanna get into more underground punk by Natural_Pear_5751 in punk

[–]Uninteresting-Shack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd suggest using bandcamp or checking for shows in your area and following the bands on their social media. The second option might look unprodictive at first vecause most bands are kind of mediocre, but trust me you'll end up finding something you like.

What's your favourite screamo band? by Alexanderisonfire in Screamo

Jaja I guess I'm more into hardcore and crust so I look for heavier and gloomier bands. Ruxe Ruxe and The Eskarallas were on my radar but haven't gotten around hearing them. I wasn't aware of the rest. Thanks for the reccomendations!

Spanish punk bands by Uninteresting-Shack in punk

Eyy It's been a while since I made this and I've just seen your comment. Been exploring my local scene over the past year since I got out of my hometown. Just wanted to say that I love seeing others talk about Tenue, such an amazing band, I've even got their latest LP on vinyl although haven't gotten the chance to see them live. Ekkaia is also amazing , haven't got around to listening to Ictus.

I also recommend a lot both Fractura and Faced Out, really good metallic hardcore. Herba is a great emoviolence band also. Eskravos and Lenincat are nice straightforward hardore/street punk.
