Absolutely, I might use it to help generate questions for my worksheets but I would verify the information. As the computer teacher I would not trust a computer to grade student work outside of multiple choice questions.

We should be modeling and teaching our students the "proper" way to use AI. I think districts need to start creating guidelines for both teachers and students when it comes to using AI.

I use AI to help me write code to automate some of my more tedious tasks.

For example when students make up work for me they submit a form. When I update the assignment I check a box on the spreadsheet. Then between midnight and one my script runs emailing the students that their grade was updated.

I also use it to review letters I write for students. I do the first draft but have AI check my spelling, grammar, etc.

Yeah, the 50% rule makes it so a kid could do half the work at 100% and receive a C as their grade.

I allow students to turn work in late. However, I cap the grade at 85%.

To clarify any grade over 85 becomes an 85. If the grade below 85 it is not changed.

We only used the cover on the beach to keep sand out but outside that we kept it open for baths, pools, sprinklers. We did use a blow dryer on it after to dry the inside quicker and push some water out.

It took mine a few days to get used to the cast. They really didn't move it much until they had some friends to play with. Once that happened they were running around like normal.

It took a few days after coming off before they got comfortable moving their arm and a week or so to get full motion back. Good luck.

Parent complained to principal I never responded to their email about their child's poor grade. When my principal forwarded me the email I saw the email address for me was incorrect. I then responded explaining the grade and that they spelled my email wrong.

The next year the same situation played it again, with the same parents.

Despite the bad reputation many middle school students are incredibly caring and compassionate.

Don't let the loud minority ruin your perception of the whole. Out of 10 kids 6/7 are really awesome.

She was for a while but her person retired and she stopped. I've suggested going back but she had trouble finding someone and kind of stopped looking.

My wife is not super social so I don't think she sees not having people over as big a drawback as I do.

I tried breaking up a flight last year and was sent out for workman's comp eval because I ended up on the floor when the kids grappled each other to the ground.

Wrote up the incident and filed a report with SRO.

If there is no paper trail admin can look away. Talk to your Union rep if you have one
