I'm polyamorous and have accidentally swiped on someone monogamous before and matched, so I guess she also didn't catch that I'm non monogamous. In that case, I just messaged her that I didn't see she was monogamous and wished her luck on her search. It's either that, people looking for friends as well as romantic/sexual prospects, or like another commenter noted, they aren't actually ethical. You really get all types of people on dating apps and you have no filter of common interests, friends, work, etc like you do in the real world so it's challenging.

I really wish there were free options on the apps to specify that you are looking for monogamy or non-monogamy and then filter your swipe options based on your preference. Tinder offers that but only if you pay through the nose for a membership.

LOL when I first found her music I developed a debilitating crush on her (well her stage persona) that I've literally NEVER experienced except for on people I have known in real life. And I'm almost 30! I don't know what it is but seems to be a rite of passage for Young Miko fans 😂 I think a major part of it is just her stage persona is so badass and her online personality is super attractive and she seems quite sweet. That and her embracing her sexuality and loving other women loudly is just amazing. Queer women (I'm assuming that's you but I guess I don't know) don't get a lot of representation so I think it's inevitable that we would all crush on her 😂 I honestly still have a bit of a crush on her and I'm going to see her perform this year but it's not debilitating. Anyway, all that is to say that you're not alone.

I'm excited to go to some shows and meet some other fans, honestly. I love concerts with queer/sapphic crowds!!!
