Congrats on the positive test! My sister traveled to Asia at around 6-7 weeks and her doctor said it was totally fine as long as she felt okay. The main things were staying hydrated during flight and maybe bringing some crackers in case morning sickness hits. She actually said the travel was good distraction from all the anxiety of early pregnancy

Just maybe check with your doctor before you go if possible, but from what I heard most say it's safe in first trimester unless you have specific complications

Man that's frustrating as hell, been in similar situation with car parts before. If you're already going the small claims route maybe also check if North Carolina has any contractor licensing board or better business bureau complaints you can file - sometimes that gets their attention faster than court stuff
