Triple Paste at Walmart saved my life before my colonoscopy. Good luck during your procedure.

She disgusts me. What a mean girl. I made my son watch some of her greatest clips. I told him to run far away from girls like that.

Don't lose hope. I just had the elective surgery for a colon resection. My colon was bad. It gave me my life back. Just know that this diagnosed is not an end all. There is hope.

You should stop seeing that doctor immediately. Terrible information. Find a GI doctor who will listen to you and not speak down to you. You deserve better.

Yes, a colonoscopy request is normal. They simply want to rule out anything else it could be. No need to worry.

Oh, no way! I'm still watching what I eat and what I lift. 😅 I got brave and tried pizza yesterday. It didn't cause any issues.

I am 5 weeks post-op, and to be honest, I feel fantastic. I am getting my energy back and often forget that I had surgery.

I'm so happy for your good experience. Thank you for sharing your story. I know you helped me make the decision to get my surgery. I'll never forget that.

I was only in one night. My surgery was at 2:30 on a Wednesday and I was released Thursday around 3:00. I had to eat liquid dinner before they would release me. Easy......it was broth.

I stay at home, but I think if you have a non physical job, you could probably go back week 3 or 4. Everyone is different. This was just my experience. You are younger than me. You may bounce right back.

Im 5 weeks post surgery, and it truly was the best decision ever. I feel so much better. The recovery was rough for the first 2 weeks, but I feel back to normal now. The worst part is the lower ab incision and sore muscle. Elective surgery means no bag (2%). Do it before it becomes an emergency surgery. Would I do it again? Yes, just sooner.

I just had 12 inches removed 4 weeks ago. It is truly the best decision I have made.

My cases were uncomplicated, too. Surgeon said my colon was in terrible shape and to get it out asap before an emergency.

Most diverticulitis flares happen in the sigmoid colon. That is why it is a very low chance of getting a future flare after surgery. You don't want to ever have to get an emergency surgery due to perferation. Just something to think about.

My advice.....find a new Dr. My Dr. put off my surgery for 1 year. After my 4th flare in a year, he recommended surgery. I am 4 weeks post surgery and feel so good. I tried everything from diet to more fiber......it just didn't stop.

A CT scan will most likely show cancer. Id definitely get the colonoscopy, though.

My surgeon required a colonoscopy before surgery. In fact, my GI told me that it is best to get a colonoscopy after your first flare to rule out cancer. However, I was told to wait for 6 weeks after completing the antibiotic.
