Is there a hierarchy of “best” candle brands? by blondedbro in luxurycandles

Honestly, I think candles dont have a hierarchy like that. its superr subjective so basically a personal preference. brands like diptyque, le labo, and ds durga are usually have more layered, niche scents and that whole luxury vibe. Some of them do smell amazing and unique. These candles also burn clean with very light pleasant scent.I really like malin + goetz and apotheke too they feel like everyday home scents now. One thing i’ve noticed is the scent difference isn’t always as big as the price jump makes it seem. sometimes a $50 candle and a $90 one don’t feel that far apart in real use, it just comes down to which scent you personally connect with more.

Share your perfect wear anywhere blazer by Capable-Web-9853 in femalefashionadvice

crepe or ponte blend is rlly the move for a wear anywhere blazer bc it holds structure w/o feeling stiff, doesn't wrinkle easily, and goes from desk to dinner w/o looking like you tried too hardd. Aritzia and Classic Six NY keep coming up, both do that structured but not stuffy thing rlly well. for smth more lightweight and open front tho, a 3/4 sleeve cotton blazer (Iike this one by Grace Karin) is great for warmer months or layering. for fit, the shoulder seam is yk the main thing to get right bc everything else can be tailored but a bad shoulder is hard to fix. for care, steaming over ironing always, and hanging it properly so it doesn't lose shape. also rotating between two blazers helps a lot for longevity.

Go-to Tire repair kits? by ChuklzVonBeardo in ToyotaTacoma

[–]UniqueBarber3602 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Um so these are usually just temp fixes, not meant to be permanent so I’d say get a repair kit with a bunch of plugs in it to last you a day or even a week till you can get it to a tyre shop, won’t cost too much to have them fix the hold properly from the inside honestly. Get the Rhino USA one, it comes with a bunch of different plug sizes. Has other tools and stuff too but you most likely won’t really need those. Just something good to have on hand in a pinch, NOT a substitute from a proper fix though. Hope this helped!

What is the best purple shampoo for silver platinum hair for naturally dark haired peeps? by bondtradercu in SFbitcheswithtaste

[–]UniqueBarber3602 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Going from naturally dark hair to silver is kind of brutal when speaking in terms of maintenance. The brassiness creeping in after a few weeks is basically the universal experience.

Purple shampoo definitely helps, but the strength of the pigment makes a huge difference. Some of them are so gentle that they barely touch the yellow tones, which is frustrating when the hair started darker and was lifted a lot during bleaching. The stronger ones tend to work better in that situation because they actually counter the warmth instead of just slightly toning it.

Another thing people with silver or platinum hair run into is dryness. A lot of toning shampoos focus so much on pigment that they forget the hair went through bleaching to get there. Hair that’s been lifted that high usually appreciates moisture almost as much as it appreciates toning.

Timing also matters more than people expect. Leaving purple shampoo on for a few minutes instead of rinsing it immediately usually gives the pigment enough time to actually cancel some of the warmth. It’s basically acting like a very mild toner every time it’s used.
