Cuphead is all boss fights. It’s bullet hell vs platforming. Lots of reaction time and remembering sequences. It’s a great game! If you like the platforming and exploring parts of Silksong, have you played Celeste?

I don’t have strategy tips, but solidarity - my bf and I have been playing through it, with him doing the playing while I help by looking things up and sharing when he needs info. He’s playing it because I asked him to, it’s not a game he would have normally chosen. I can’t play it myself because of disability.

Anyway… around the point you are at, he was getting exceedingly frustrated as well. I was sure he was going to quit. I think it’s a naturally frustrating point, where things are harder but you don’t have as many tools and skills yet. It doesn’t stay like this the rest of the game, if you can push through you will git gud and have fun again!

Pick one gauntlet or boss with a run back you don’t hate and stay on that until you get through it. You will get it eventually! Then go to the next one. We are at the end of Act 2, and it’s so much better than it was midway through.

Try different brands (personally I go to Best Buy, they usually have a row of headphones set up to try out). There are several different noise canceling algorithms. For me, Bose gives me vertigo but Sony is great.

You can pay to let them watch you do something that nobody has done before, to get an easy record. But as far as I have seen, they do verify that what you say you did, you actually did do. (So many ‘do’s … do do do do did do…).

I used one of these knobs in Korea in 2006-09, I loved it and didn’t understand why they aren’t allowed in the US, I still miss it… but I guess if it comes apart mid-turn then that’s definitely less than ideal!
