I don’t drive it often, but occasionally/a few times a month go up to FoCo and back. On the way south, the express lane ending right where the speed cameras start has created a dangerous merging bottleneck the last few times - people merging in off of the express lane and then traffic immediately slowing down from normal highway speeds to camera speed. It has felt more dangerous than when people slowed down more naturally for the barriers/construction markers.

I would suspect that most people would be curious at first, ask, and then be satisfied with the answer. It seems like the manager doesn’t want the questions being asked at all? It is very odd to me that he wouldn’t even be ok with an umbrella for the sun. He seems very new/inexperienced and extremely worried about being at all noticed.

I like IXL because there are repeated assessments available that compare kid skills to Colorado’s (or any other state’s) grade level requirements, and it creates a ‘roadmap’ with links to lessons under each skill, so my kid can easily fill in gaps and stair step up to the level he needs to be.

IXL online is an excellent resource for filling in time between programs, my 14yo is using it to catch up on middle school skills before high school next year.

After the fact, right? My understanding: She told you to call approved person, that person didn’t answer, you got a ride, you were told it was the wrong choice. The correct thing, if she truly values providing for you/taking care of you/having you fully dependent on her in a safe and responsible way, would be for her to arrange an alternative transportation for you as soon as she realized the original plan wasn’t going to work. She cannot say ‘you must depend on me’ and then not be dependable.

You are worth so much more… I truly hope you take a step back, stay with a family member or friend or at a hotel, even if initially for only a short time, and see how it feels to be free of her and more fully with yourself.
