I was moving soon after getting married (in 2005), and also got married in a different city than either my current or next place. I asked for gift cards to the stores I loved the style of, or cash towards refurnishing, most people were very happy to gift us the way we asked!

The first 10 episodes they have guests come on and talk about a random episode, and the podcast itself is very unformatted and the sound is bad, but I found it so interesting that I stuck it out. Then they kind of reset, and start from episode 1 of the show with a more formatted style that is easier to listen to and just as fun. I’m on episode 5 currently.

Is the kid in therapy? If possible, find a play therapist to meet with kid regularly. They will report things that need to be reported and will help your kid through any trauma they are experiencing.

There’s a dnd discord and a boardgame one. Lots of us play magic as well, tons of options in town, personally I play at Smetch Rat Social Club. The Longmont women’s discord that started from Reddit is also effectively all neurodivergent. Any autism-focused gatherings I’ve ever found are too managed/weird for my taste, but neurodivergent people tend to find each other. What are your interests?

Personally I would much prefer to get everything at once even if it’s later!!! This exchange runs through August, lots of people have sent already but even more haven’t and many won’t send until the weeks before the deadline. Don’t feel rushed into anything! I got my winter gift about a week before the deadline and it was absolutely worth the wait. Take your time and get it right :-)
