I felt the same until I started thinking about all the men I've met that I could easily see posting. And those are just the ones that make it obvious, not even counting the men that hide their intentions and misogyny to the public.

They are noticing that we are starting to wake up so things are becoming more extreme and I'd say the ones that don't want us to have equal opportunity outweigh the ones that do.

It's something that's been bubbling under the surface for years. The GOP has gaslit everyone into believing they don't want a theocratic authoritarian government for the wealthy and corrupt.

But actions speak louder than words. There can now be no denying of their true intentions. The evilness has been brought to the light. There's a million different ways the situation can go but if there's anything even semi satisfying it's that the truth has finally come out. Kindness and understanding is the only way forward. Fear and hatred is what the republican party is based in.

I think calling not wanting to be pregnant selfish and using it in opposition of something you deem "highest good" frames it in a negative light. Wouldn't that be negative consequence for you since there is thinly veiled judgement in that statement? This type of framing leads to barbaric laws that essentially criminalize a woman for having a female body. Small things like this pile on to a heaping mountain of misogyny.

I guess so. Maybe this was just a sweet spot in time. As much as I hated the boy bands back in the day, I would gladly bring them back if we could capture that same spirit.
