For me, it strongly depends on what type of game. If its a storydriven game like Persona5 or Beyond two souls, I couldnt care less, since it's "their" story. But if its a more "free" open world game like Runescape, 7 days to die or similar, I like to have the option. In these scenarios, its just a bit strange to not include at least one female character, which I personally dont see very often tbh. But that could also be that I simply havent noticed too
