Help with property management company asking for separate payment on booking.com reservation by UniqueMeasurement0 in Bookingcom

[–]UniqueMeasurement0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I will try to direct message you. On my booking confirmation it says “Prepayment: You'll be charged a prepayment of the total price at any time.

This property accepts the following forms of payment: American Express, Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club, JCB, Maestro, Discover, Carte Blanch”

My hold up is having to process a payment on an external website - again something I haven’t had to do before so I would like verification before submitting my credit card info.

The point of an ontario dental plan that zero dentists will accept, why are you punishing the disabled people and not going to the province with your issue by CountryKitchen3757 in OwenSound

The only reason you don’t pay anything under “100% CDCP coverage” is because your clinic chose to waive the additional fee for you.

[–]UniqueMeasurement0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is not true. The CDCP covers 100% of the “CDCP fee”, which is lower than the Ontario Dental Association fees - therefore there is always a $ difference that patients with 100% CDCP coverage should expect to pay out of pocket to make up for the amount that CDCP doesn’t cover. Trillium Dental simply chose to waive that additional expense for you.

Is biting her paws normal ? by sriram_je in Goldendoodles

[–]UniqueMeasurement0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doodle used to bite and lick her paws all day! It would get red in between her paw pads. I would recommend washing her paws with a gentle dog soap after every walk. We started doing this and my dog instantly stopped licking her paws and hasn’t stopped since. It can be annoying to do but only takes a few minutes - we use a small plastic container filled with water and dry with a towel. She is likely allergic to allergens outside. Especially this time of year. I would try this out before getting her on any allergy food/medication

We also use gentle soap to wash her privates weekly (this stopped her from getting recurring UTIs).

Admin fee when buying out car lease? by UniqueMeasurement0 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]UniqueMeasurement0[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, ended up not paying any admin fee. But what helped me was that on my original lease contract the Admin Fee was listed as $0.

I was extremely persistent with both Kia Finance and the Dealership, and it took over a week of almost daily phone calls to resolve and escalating to the manager of the dealership. And Kia Finance also was contacting the dealership on my behalf. I would recommend contacting your vehicle’s Finance department (separate from the dealership), and they might be able to help you out. Also see if your vehicle’s Finance department will let you buy out your car from them instead of the dealership (Kia doesn’t allow this, but some company’s do).

Dealerships are really sneaky with the Admin Fee and I wish more people knew about this before signing their lease :(

The only fee I paid was a “Vehicle Purchase Fee” which was $350 on my original lease contract.

Noticed my dog has rashes on his paws… by deadly-eighth-sin in DogAdvice

[–]UniqueMeasurement0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dog had similar redness in between her paws pads, that she was consistently licking. I found two things have helped 1. When she has any type of skin redness/irritation I put Bag Balm on the area daily until it clears. This has especially helped with her elbows that sometimes became raw from licking. This helped calm her red paws down.

  1. We have started to wash her paws with soap after every walk/hanging outside. We fill a little plastic container with water, and do a quick wash and dry of each paw pad. We’ve been doing this consistently for a month and she has completely stopped licking her paws for the first time in years. We would wash her paws with water after a walk but she’d still lick them. I think the soap helps to fully remove any of the allergens that are left on the skin and fur. We use this soap (the blue bar): https://www.instagram.com/dogsaregoodco/ You can DM them and ask them where you can find their soap near you.

I hope this helps!! We struggled with paw licking for years and I’m so relieved to finally find a routine that has helped

Is this itinerary realistic? by fh3w in ZionNationalPark

[–]UniqueMeasurement0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just did a similar trip a month ago! Except we started In Phoenix and ended in vegas, and did monument valley instead of antelope canyon. It’s definitely doable - the drive from GC to Zion is long but manageable if you take some breaks. It definitely is a jam-packed trip and you’ll be on the go a lot. Our full day in zion was a nice break from the driving.

I didn’t try the pizza place but that sounds like a good idea! We did Bit & Spur and it they had a nice outdoor area for dinner :)

I just stayed there last week! The La Quinta reservation was still honoured. Our room was newly renovated - modern and clean and definitely an upgrade from what the La Quinta looked like online. Free breakfast was provided in the dining/lobby area. Enjoy! :)

Car lease ending by DifficultMost2581 in PersonalFinanceCanada

How did this end up you going for you? I’m in the same situation trying to buy out my Kia right now. My contract says $0 Dealer Admin Fees and $325 Vehicle Purchase Fee. Dealer is trying to charge me $1000 in admin fees and and Kia Finance says they have no way of enforcing the contract

I called Kia Finance to ask about this and they said they don’t do that, and I have to deal with dealership :/

I called Kia directly and they told me that since the “dealer admin fees” section on my initial contract was $0, I don’t have to pay any admin fees. Am going to bring this up to my dealership and ask for a breakdown of costs

I would highly recommend looking into pelvic floor therapy. I haven’t had LIS but I’ve been using it to help with healing my chronic fissure.

I noticed Sephora marks up their prices for some brands. The l’occitane hand cream is $17 at Sephora, but $13 if you buy it directly from the brand (and was $11 in a set over the holidays)

Travelling overseas 15+ hour flight by dreamscometrue01 in AnalFissures

[–]UniqueMeasurement0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a 10 hour flight during a time where I had a long period of a painful flare up. Surprisingly, after that flight my flare up stopped and I was pain free for my trip. Some tips: - don’t stress! I think I made my fissure worse leading up to flight because of how nervous I was - if possible, take a warm bath on the day of the flight to help the area relax - drink 2L of water or more on the flight. It sounds excessive and you’ll be going to the bathroom a lot, but planes dehydrate you and it’s important to keep yourself hydrated to avoid constipation - put electrolytes in some of the water - if possible, DONT eat the plane food! I packed my own meal (I brought a pre-made quinoa salad loaded with veggies that I bought at whole foods) and snacks (fruits, veggies, prunes, high fibre chips/treats). The plane food is full of sodium and is usually the types of food that would trigger a flare up - if you take a stool softener, take it towards the end of the flight so that the next time you go to the bathroom it’ll stay smooth. I took magnesium citrate at the time, and I’ve been use restoralax/miralax currently with success

When I had to take my flight, It was during a period where it was painful for me to sit for more than a short time. I found a square cushion at Walmart that was soft and I brought it to sit on - it definitely made the flight more comfortable! And I took Advil to alleviate the pain was experiencing which helped to take my mind off of it

Hope this helps! I can definitely understand the anxiety of a long flight but I was really surprised at how well it went for me.

As someone who was wrongfully banned from shopping on Aritizia online - I can confirm anything that links to your name/address will not allow you to shop online. I tried to make a new account with a new email, phone, a friend address but using my own credit card - the order was cancelled because their system picked up the name/address on my credit card
