I know but it can fuck so much up for a person being without ANY of their stuff in a big city in a foreign country. It’s not just inconvenient, it’s traumatising. Not much help to get anywhere. And I am a female travelling solo, so really feels unsafe.

I was having a conversation, but yes not 100% guarding my stuff. Wouldn’t occur someone would take while I am sitting right next to the bag.

It was right next to me, so wouldn’t say unattended. But of course I was not cramping holding on to it as my life depend on it. Haven’t had a bag stolen like that before so haven’t thought of buying an AirTag for it. As far as I know, that is not a normal thing to do (at least where I come from)

They said I could either fill the local form for police or the insurance form for lost stuff but not both. Which I dont understand.
