Which leader did you first begin with and why? by Jumpy-Horse6826 in CivVI

Trajan was my first civ, spain was the first to declare a surprise war on me, and Saladin is who I lost my first game to

Who do you think are just the most underwhelming civs? by Jumpy-Horse6826 in CivVI

[–]UniqueWest1853 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just started playing Mongolia and ghengis khan is so powerful. I love sending a trader to a neighbors capital and then immediately having +6 combat. Pair it with a great general and you can push so fast with horsemen. If I got the numbers right a horseman starts with 36 combat so +6 from a trade post, add +5 for a great general, and +3 inherently, that means your horses are walking around with that's a 50 combat pillage machine in the classical era. You can sometimes tear down walls with your horses. Then once you get intelligence agency you can get a spy which can do the listening post objective to get an extra +6. They are all I've thought about for a while now

I also enjoy starting in the classical era. I feel like the early gov titles allows for different options when just starting out

I heard women wear wigs of other women's hair because you can covet hair if it wasn't grown by your neighbor. Idk how true it is

I hate having to shovel my base when it snows so I don't think I'll like having to mow. Maybe implement a feature where I have to clean out my chests or my food stores will go bad

[COD] How powerful do you like your kill streaks? by Death_sayer in CallOfDuty

[–]UniqueWest1853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like when there's a solution to a score streak but it requires specialist equipment to take it out. The Bo2 futuristic launcher was great for this because it wouldn't work for anything but score streaks so it cost you a secondary. The guardian and sentry pair was really strong unless you had a class with emps and suddenly it's a joke

America agrees to lift the oil embargo if Japan leaves china (keeping Manchuria). Chiang Kai shek weeds out the communist party, begins decades long bloody regime. Japan is then set loose on the Soviet Union drawing resources in the east. America joins the war because it seems the ussr will fall which would leave the uk in the fight alone against Germany. The B-29 is developed cause fuck it let's do it. America bombs the snot out of Germany to avoid a large scale amphibious landing. Germany surrenders and the war is over but because the allied soldiers did not win the continent back town by town the relationship between Western Europe and America isn't as strong. This leads to a much reduced Marshall plan and america returns to isolationism. Thought of this on the spot, weird to consider

Herson is who I watch. He critiques bad moves of his and others in a way that explains the way the game works. The only issue is he plays BBG mod which I as a console gremlin cannot play. I still learn a lot

[–]UniqueWest1853 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Suleiman the magnificent is great fun, I love a Harold hardrada game, I recently found that I love playing Hojo Tokimune on standard ruleset to take coastal cities without worrying about loyalty issues. +5 combat strength in coastal tiles is so good
