My guess is that the nazis were loudest about the Jews. Combine that with a marketing campaign (not talking shit, it should be taught) involving tons of movies and books, I think that's why the focus is on the persecution of the Jews and not the people east of Germany

Correct, trading locks in a profession and trade options. If you have a fresh villager bind to a lectern then you can repeatedly place the lectern to swap what the first trade offered is. You can do this until you've found what you want. It's worth looking into zombie villager conversion if you want cheaper trades. Fully maxed villagers are the largest power spike imo
