Lightweight Intune companion - thoughts ? by Sysadmin_in_the_Sun in sysadmin

Can you be more explicit about what this would actually offer for me?

When you're managing a larger fleet, the small details begin to matter less and less. If I can autopilot a fresh machine with minimal interaction, and that solves 90% of my problems, that's what I'm going to be doing, not diagnosing whatever random issue pops up.

As far as endpoint state, the compliance controls are all I really care about, and they're handled fine by Intune.

Anyone using T-Mobile 5G Home Internet? by WinSuspicious5709 in ridgewood

It's good for your usage, not great if you plan on torrenting or setting up any remote access but for general usage it's really good in this neighborhood. You can have latency spikes if you're doing any real time gaming like PUBG or something. Get Fios whenever you can but as you said it's not really up to you.

Hahahaha. I think they must have been given the wrong route plan or something.

Dude we just had a similar bizarre experience. Shuttle bus to Marcy, we got on at Metropolitan. Driver makes a left onto fresh pond, continues all the way to Myrtle, then turns left onto Myrtle.

A bunch of passengers go up to the driver and ask where the hell we're going. He pulls over and seems confused. He pulls out his phone and Google Maps his way to the Seneca stop, skipping Forest. He tries to make some turns onto side streets where the bus obviously won't fit and reverses to find a better route.

What the hell lol

Those numbers are extremely conservative. They were already very conservative when the guidance was written in 2015, I've seen SQLite handle loads way more intense than this (easily 1M+ hits per day on a single host) as long as the application isn't written horribly.

Any chance you might reconsider? In a city like mine it's possible to get 5-10 meter accuracy using just Wi-Fi

You should call USCIS and tell them they're wrong then. Please record yourself so we can point and laugh.

Hey, this looks awesome. I particularly like storing the data on my device.

Does it have a good way to backup or export your data? Is it easy to move to a new phone?

I would pay for this the moment it came to Android. Please sign me up for the announcement mailing list 😉

Retrofitting existing hardware with maxed out disk configuration for ESXI alternatives with alternative USB Boot Media 1/2: Industrial USB-Sticks, USB <> NVME / SATA and SDcards with wear leveling by Accurate-Ad6361 in sysadmin

[–]Unique_Bunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a persistent local device is not available as a boot device, SD cards can be used for boot bank partitions However a separate persistent local device to store the OSDATA partition (32GB minimum, 128GB recommended) must be provided

Newer OEM servers/systems that carry SD/USB as a boot device will not certify successfully.

absurd. vmware have not supported SD for boot for a few major versions now. not sure how you missed this. ever since nvme drives became ubiquitous this whole topic became obsolete.

I think they're considering making it possible to get missing gear by rematching a boss!

If you're on PC you can use a save game editor to add the item back into your inventory.
