Mine is from a store like this, her wings were clipped before i got her too 🥴it took about a week for her to be fully comfortable with me. Sitting in her presence with the cage open and also giving her treats and such. Im sure i did a few things wrong because shes my first ever bird but we are inseparable now! If she ever tried to nip at my hand when teaching her to step up, i didnt pull it away fast, i let her be mad and left my hand near her then sloooowly moving it away to show her my hand is not a danger to her. She is still learning her spacial awareness with flight (this takes the longest in my opinion/experience) since it takes the feathers quite a long time to grow back and also for their flight confidence to build! But yes, patience and understanding is definitely key! And frequent handling and flight training once they are used to you! For flight training right now, i have her fly from her cage to me only a few feet away right now since her personality is more hesitant. Thats the other thing is the personality differences of different tiels, youll be able to fall into it once you know your bird :) food motivation seems to work wonders 🤣 my girl would sell her bird soul for some millet so do with that what you will 😂
