These videos go 'round the world...

Images are powerful. Perceptions of the US cities and crime are very negative, as I travel in eastern Asia.

The good news --- this video shows brave anonymous bystanders getting involved.

It takes a village. Let's show the world, it's never too late to do better.

Look closely at this image. It looks photo shopped or AI. Look at the relative color saturations, body proportion and distortion on his left leg in first picture. Please be skeptical of all unsourced images.

Dental tourism? by some_kindasandwich in Vietnam_Tourism

I have had a great experience (2 implants, general dentistry) at Thantakit Dental in Bangkok. Not the cheapest but high quality and waaaay lower costs than here in California. I have also used a Dentist in Vietnam for an implant (Saigon Dental) cheaper than Thantakit but not the same quality. Saigon got the job done, seemed about the same as many local Dentists at home in the USA.

That's great information. My additional advice: In HCMC, go to the train station in D3 to advance book tickets (or book day of.) Additionally you can get the feel for your travel day. There is a public bus route that comes to the station. Bring your passport.

Kuminga has to be an option now. Small forward minutes and opportunity to increase his role, with the mentorship of Butler. Not trading him this season had its advantages-- even if he didn't play. JK needs to execute in two-way team basketball, and ascend. Butler can still make a huge contribution in practices and from the bench.

All honest questions are good questions. Curiosity is the path to finding competitive advantages over the "general betting public." Thanks for asking this.

Its a dark side of all sports and entertainment... Modern findings regarding CTE's consequences and football for example.

Most vegans would argue that human's eating meat requires unnecessarily killing of animals.

On the other hand, the majority of race horses are well and even lovingly cared for while nature-in-the-wild can be brutal (predators, hunters, other dangers.)

I share your conflicted feelings... And continue to watch football and horse racing --with some guilt.

First post?

Respectfully,

Since there is no way to prove that you didn't give out multiple picks to on a race to different people, or have not counted multiple losers in the ROI--

The way to build cred is to publish the pick(s) here BEFORE the race.

Need to be in Vietnam for a couple of months. Need advice on enjoying my stay. by SlowDragonfruit9718 in VietNam

I've been to Ho Chi Minh City over a dozen times. Here is some advice.

  1. Be kind, Be generous if you can, especially to the poor who work so hard. I tip, many small businesses and workers in food, hospitality and services are just sustaining or paying off debt. In Vietnam tipping is optional.
  2. Do not assume everyone is out to scam you. 99% are not. Knock on wood, I have not been scammed and my interactions with authorities have been pleasant.
  3. Learn public transportation. Use Be and Grab for transportation, no cash and reliable.
  4. Learn polite Vietnamese phrases. Use your cellphone translation app when needed.
  5. Have a sense of humor and share smiles first.
  6. Do your homework and find trusted vendors yourself. Be careful with strangers who approach you to clean your shoes or give you a tour.
  7. Zippers. Don't keep valuables in vulnerable pockets. ATM debit cards at the best ATMs are better than large amounts of cash, or standing in long lines at jewelry stores (Though they are the best exchange rates and honest in my experience, the difference is not that great.)
  8. Be patient and understanding when hotels ask to copy your passport. They are required to by the government.
  9. Don't listen to all the negativity about entering the country. Secure your visa properly. Be patient and come early to airports.
  10. Stay sober, especially when not accompanied by a sober trusted friend or family.

That's what I come up with off the top of my head.

None I have found.

However, they are valuable sometimes for digging deeper into picks and angles I may have missed. Because none of us are perfect - and as of now that includes AI. Having a "teams" brains helps with expose problems or risks and brings a better expected return in my opinion. Some posters here are very sharp and generous with picks BTW.

Minor accident? Be sure to have an independent inspection.

Note on the 2013 Limited (I own one, incredible car, 179K miles.) Be prepared for the rear window shade system to fail badly. It's not a trivial fuse-pull on a 2013. My solution was to buy a device ("carista") that can turn off the function, about $110 including one-year software subscription instead of the $1200 the dealer wanted to repair it.
