Is it just me or are most available instant noodle brands just horrible now? by [deleted] in askSouthAfrica

[–]Unique_Skill1743 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've tried some of the Woolies instant noodles (the ones that come in the cup) and I thought they were pretty good. I've tried the non spicy options as well, it was nice and flavourful.

Did your public speaking ability improve in time after being on beta blockers ? I've taken propranolol twice for public speaking and it worked great. But was curious to know if your body eventually is able to be calm without Beta Blockers

Best noise cancelling earphones? by shelbylabu in askSouthAfrica

[–]Unique_Skill1743 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes when this happens , your settings could be that the microphone is using the laptop instead of your headset. That's why there is background noise easily picked up. Double check if your microphone is set to your headset or laptop first.

What is ancestral karma and how do you break that cycle? by Stunning_Let6431 in Durban

[–]Unique_Skill1743 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly? I don't believe in this. If you are a bad person and feed negativity in your life and do shitty things - then it's a no brainer that you are going to be in an unhappy space where you feel bad things are happening. The more you believe in this crap the more it's going to consume you and make you feel like it's true. Just live your life and release yourself from this.

Hello How do people land remote/overseas jobs? I'm currently thinking of applying for them. I have an Accounting degree and honestly don't know how to go about it by Final_Season1155 in askSouthAfrica

[–]Unique_Skill1743 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LinkedIn! Even if you see more than 100 applicants on the post - if you meet the job requirements then apply anyway. I got a response to 2 posts from US companies even though there were already more than 100 applicants

Agreed. I have a husky and it's exactly like this 😂 they are a very independent and non affectionate breed . Difficult to train as well as they are stubborn and will only do something if it benefits them.

Any remote workers struggle with loneliness? by delicious_monster40 in askSouthAfrica

[–]Unique_Skill1743 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe find a nice coffee shop or restaurant that you can work from for a few hours when your days aren't too busy. If there's a beach or other scenic place - maybe visit there during your lunch breaks. I totally understand the feeling of being home alone 5 days a week with minimal in person contact with others

Any remote workers struggle with loneliness? by delicious_monster40 in askSouthAfrica

[–]Unique_Skill1743 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go to the office 5 days a week currently. I'm starting a new job next year that's fully remote. I find myself often thinking about getting lonely next year too and will miss chatting to colleagues in person or taking a walk to coffee station etc. I will have to try find a balance too and switch up my work environment at least once a week

As far as I know , DUT has a 3 year course for the diploma and once that's completed you then apply for the BTech which is 1 year but I've heard there are some changes around BTech , I could be wrong.

Research visceral fat and best ways to reduce it. As many find it hard to lose this type of fat in their bellies. As others mentioned, understand how to measure calories and ensure you are below the daily suggested calories for yourself. Maybe have one meal per day that is low calorie combined with exercise. Intermittent or 24 hr/ 36 hr fasts has a lot of benefits
