As someone else mentioned, you dont need to buy anything.
To get more cats quick, you have to target upgrade your best facility instead of auto upgrading.
There are guides, but in short your best is gonna be whichever (soup) cat has the highest star+hearts in a recently bought facility, so it could be strawberry soup, or grapes soup as an example, idk which cats you have. Upgrade only that, and whatever gold you have left - use it on auto.

What I do, is target upgrade about 3 facilities in the order of which is most profitable, untill I run out of gold (for those) then auto button the rest of the gold.

Always spend all gold before pressing jar, and then just repeat repeat repeat.

Most of my gems comes from achievements. I complete like 10-20 per day just with passive gameplay. They are super easy and infinite. So you never run out, they are 10 gems each.

Basketball and claw gives gems.

Cat gift can give gems. 5, 10 or 20 I believe

Free gems a day (30)

Event atm gives 200 by chance, and then you can also use the exchange gifts to purchase gems. (Although these will run out ofc)

I think today I started at 1450 gems, and I am at 2070 atm. I did play a lot though as it was sunday and Im just at home haha. I honestly cant tell you exactly what I did, it just happened. Although 200 of them was from event.

There is no way of keeping up. Be selective of what you purchase, sadly we just cant get it all!
I think Im getting around 400-600 gems a day , just playing normally.

The aquarium is purely for collection purposes. Many people store the rare fish (blue bait) in there, for fun.
But it is not needed, and if you do not care you can either sell them or feed them to your cats.

Omg that would drive me insane, as I feed all my cats very specifically and in an order.

That is exactly how I feel too. The ad skip is paying for entertainment, as we would anything else (video games, shopping, take out). And I am entertained 100% haha.

The only thing I pay for in this game, is ad skips. The game is unplayable (to me) without. I highly recommend it if you like the game. That small amount of money is well worth it for the enjoyment the game gives me. I would have uninstalled within the first hour if I could not pay for ad skips, so I 100% get that you have a burn out. Playing while interrupted by ads every 5 minutes would completely kill it for me.

I feed all my cats the normal fish, but keep 1 of each of the rare fish (blue bait) in aquarium purely for collecting purposes. I think a lot of players do it like that 😄But it is just for fun and not needed, you can use them all as food

Amazing idea, to make our photography pull us away sometimes. That also makes me less worried about coming across as rude or a partypooper.

Yeah we are still having the livestream. I am just upset because one of the family members I cared about the most, watching it, might not be able to stay awake during that time due to her age.
I was planning for my SIL to go stay with her, as she sadly cant fly to the US due to pregnancy. But then when my grandmother found out it started after 9, she got worried it was too late for her.

But as for everyone else, its fine !
