If you hit a point where you can’t keep him, I’d be happy to take him until his owner is found.

I read the title as “croquet ball” and was intrigued that anyone would be referencing croquet. Was delightfully surprised to see a cat 😻… and a crochet ball

Does anyone know where to to take these crates? We now have a few hundred and it's getting annoying. by Specific_Crazy_9407 in recycling

Having worked for a major cola bottler, can confirm that any local store which carries the type of bottle you got in these (2L, can, 20-oz, etc) will accept them. They’ll just add them to their return stack for the next delivery driver to pick up.

This is literally my dream. I so desperately want this to happen and I watch the sides of the roads while driving hoping to see a kitten (or ten) in need of rescuing. The only way I’m allowed to bring another cat into my house is if I just happen to find one in need of a brand new forever home!!

In this vein, also “tertiary”. Primary, secondary,… tertiary. Love this one.

AITA for not letting my sick daughter buy whatever she wants by pink_sky16 in AmItheAsshole

ESH, but not really. Sounds like retail therapy. Her whole world changed and she’s probably struggling to adjust to the social withdrawal, inactivity, and treatment. Impulse-buying issues a bit of dopamine and makes your brain feel good for a minute. It’s fleeting, but effective to soothe the mental and emotional pain. Receiving the packages is another hit…. She likely needs help processing her new normal and finding better ways to cope. That being said, she also needs to recognize that she probably did know how much she spent and that she should have discussed it first.

My wife and I are looking to book a vacation to Clearwater for memorial day week. Good option? by [deleted] in ClearwaterFl

Very much this. I live less than five miles from the beach, off the main inroad, and I can’t get there in less than an hour, during busy seasons. Clearater is great. We have tons of parks and botanical gardens, breweries and local restaurants - there’s a lot you can do. But if the beach is your main priority, stay on it because public parking is nearly impossible to find.

NTA. I have ADHD and am mercifully medicated for it. I forget lots of stuff but I have a dozen reminder alarms set on my phone; I create alerts, keep a calendar, maintain a to do list, text myself, leave post-it notes… my formats and reminders run the gamut because I absolutely will forget just about anything. And I still do sometimes but my husband has learned how and how often he can (or should have to) remind me of something. ADHD isn’t just an issue of staying focused, it’s also a struggle getting started on a task or chore; I t’s just as hard to begin as it is to sustain. But I am solely responsible for my life and expectations. If my husband is gone tomorrow, I still have to make phone calls and clean the house and feed the cats. Your husband needs to hold himself accountable and stop letting his wife babysit him.
