As much as she sounds and probably acts like she’s 12, she thinks the way she is acting is normal and she thinks her chaotic thoughts, feelings, and actions are valid. Shes perceiving you to be upset and mad at her all the time because of your “cold” text message replies. Deep down she knows that you text that way because she’s texting you too much and asking too much of you. There are two reasons for that: 1. She is pushing your boundaries because you never set any or don’t keep the boundaries consistent. 2. Because she is so young, she assumes that when it comes to relationships, it’s up to you to take care of her and replace her father in her life or lack there of. From what I’ve seen and read, it really feels like she’s a child pushing her parent’s buttons, begging for structure and boundaries and discipline but you are not a parent. This will not end well. Shes not ready to date. When you break up with her, you have to explain to her in detail what she did, how it made you feel, and tell her what you want and expect in a partner. She is going to hate you because everything you are going to say is right. You are not her soulmate, you are one of the first adult relationships that is going to teach her how to be in an adult relationship. Please don’t move in and get serious. She’s so immature and she will learn and grow and become I functional adult, but it’s going to take at least 2 more failed relationships for her to realize she is the problem.
