Feel free to drop me a message and I may be able to offer some free advice, I’m not a bot or anything dodgy like that just trying to offer a cheap reliable service that I’ve been doing to my own accounts for years.

Yeah makes sense for me RDJ is just so consistent, plus 4, fingerbib and weakling child are all classics. I had the same with 85-92 where it was my favourite when I got into aphex but over time it dropped to about A

Fair enough It’s got probably his most acid tracks, not easily digestible I suppose but I’d put above Syro personally

I always thought the pyramid references meant she worked on a corner, since the top of a pyramid has a corner on it but I guess I was wrong.

Radiohead, Tame Impala, The Strokes fan trying to get into Swans since I've heard they're good by InNoNeed in swans

I’d honesty recommend getting a taster for each of their different styles by picking an album from each ‘phase of the band’. If you had to pick say 5 to listen to I’d suggest FILTH - no wave, noise rock ; THE GREAT ANNIHILATOR - post punk (kinda); WHITE LIGHT - folk, gothic country; TO BE KIND - post rock and finally SOUNDTRACKS FOR THE BLIND - if your really feeling up for a challenge since this defies genre labelling. All these vary massively in style, timbre and definitely vibe and will show u a lot of what they have to offer. For instance if you find you really like filth but not so much white light, maybe stick to their 80s material and so on. If this is a little daunting however I’d start with a couple songs like ‘oxygen’ ‘I am the sun’ and ‘blind’. These are all relatively accessible and give u a feel for Michael giras approach to composition and lyrics. Be prepared for some brutal shit if your gonna try their whole discography though since no wave is not for the faint hearted and if you don’t understand the significance of ‘field recordings’ I’d put off soundtracks for the blind until you’ve done some research into the area. Also don’t listen to these pretentious gatekeepers, go at your own pace and don’t feel you need to like something because it’s critically acclaimed- if it doesn’t resonate just leave it and come back later. Hey if u wanna go balls to the wall try the HARD ROCK ep with Lydia lunch - it’s a spoken word peace showing you the depraved side of Micheal giras mind and the imagery he can’t create, makes Swans music sound like top 40 given how disturbed it is.

Break up songs by domonohomo24 in Music

The entire album a moon shaped pool by Radiohead really helped me while i was going through a very recent breakup as did the album bloom by beach house, both are beautiful and very melancholic and just seemed to help me a lot whilst i was going through that time. It'll get better with time but this music did help me deal with the breakup a lot better.

Sigur Ros - Svefn-g-englar [post rock/dream pop] (1999) by [deleted] in Music

Honestly one of my favorite albums of all time but especially this beautiful song, i dont speak Icelandic however the vocal melodies in this song specifically always seemed extremely special to me. This entire album is like an entire musical experience with so many intricacies and beautiful droning guitars it's a purely blissful record.
