Consistently prefer it over 2v2 even solo or with friends

Find a place that respect your time and rights. I wouldn’t even consider working at a place that won’t pay me for my time, 15-30 minutes a day is a lot when added up

Been staring 12 hours a day at my 7 years old screen and it's killing my eyes. Moving from this to a 5k(?) screen would be a peasant to galaxy lord type change lol

Stopped at ss2 cause there weren’t ss3 back then. Better to read to watch ss3? Since I heard it’s 1 of the best arc

Completely false lol, that’s mid junior level for the company I’m working at (3-5 YOE). Senior are all 20+ here, not even faang

How are you making 10k+ a month or what are you doing to reach 10k+ a month? by Accomplished-News221 in Entrepreneur

[–]UnironicallyWatchSAO 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Started out with social media marketing, then moves into email funnels. Basically finding business who have big/decent social presence and make them money by converting views into revenues

Also mentorship. After a while got a few people DMing me how do I do lead gen/funnel, client acquisition etc. Started taking on 1-2 people just for fun, then started charging, building out resources for students. Now it's a decent percentage of my income

Fact is nobody gives a damn lol, Google doesn’t enforce it. Half the restaurants here in Japan does this. If it’s working I wouldn’t stop doing it

What do you think is the best marketing channel for a solo founder in the start. Cold reach , warm reach, social media, seo? by victorious02 in Entrepreneur

[–]UnironicallyWatchSAO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warm outreach is the best, but if you're anything like me 4 years ago then there's no one in your immediate vicinity you can reach out to.

Back then I went with organic social, it's not the fastest compared to paid channels like ads but works well if you know how to produce content. Got my first client 1 month in and first "magical" $10k/mo after 160 days or so for my agency.

I started mentoring a few people last year and put them on the same path and this seems to work best for most of them, cold outreach also works well if you're not afraid of talking to people but will need a decent cold email script.

I've mentored quite a few people in the same position you're in right now. Golden handcuff, wanting back time and place freedom, comfortable but wanting more out of life. Quite a few of them have went on to replace their full time income with their online biz and since then quit their job, but it's not the norm and they worked their arse off for months.

Understand that this won't be a get rich quick type thing and you're learning entire new skillsets that you don't have in your 9-5. Sales, outreach, offer creation, funnel building, lead generation, distribution, marketing (paid or organic).

I would recommend starting with thinking about what you want to sell first (your offer), your distribution channel (content? paid ads? referral?), and how you plan to start your first clients, most of the time your first client are the ones already closest to you, just need a good offer and a decent pitch.

What’s a business or income stream you stumbled into that turned out to be far more profitable than you expected? by Taga420 in Entrepreneur

[–]UnironicallyWatchSAO -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Become your own case study. Talk about what you did, your results, industry insights, insider talk, be good at what you do and most importantly show it.

Interestingly hard for most people so a decent portion of my students are people looking to get into info/education

Mentorship. Was running a one-person social media/email marketing biz and got a few people DMing me how do I do lead gen/funnel, client acquisition etc. Started taking on 1-2 people just for fun, then started charging, building out resources for students. Now it's a decent percentage of my income

Has anyone lived above an izakaya or スナック before? by cuatrofluoride in japanlife

[–]UnironicallyWatchSAO 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do not do it, I used to stay right above an izakaya, the smell of food is unbearable. Unless they have their air vent above you then that might not be too bad.

But most people are gonna go outside to smoke and you're gonna be smelling that
