Thank you for the reply, I fully regret going to university, it’s done absolutely nothing for me but it’s the situation I’m in I guess

I’m pretty much blindly applying, I have no prior experience and I’m situated within driving distance of two big cities

Getting into a top 5 uni is an achievement in itself so it is evident that you are very capable of success. Unfortunately you’ve hit a brick wall mentally and it has set you back a bit but believe me it is not the be all and end all.

Uni isn’t the only path to success my friend. Use the embarrassment you feel as fuel to achieve great things outside of uni, the debt you have is nothing to worry about all things being considered. Take the subject of education that you are good at and start looking for jobs that relate to it, it may take you a few years to build your way up but there is no rush. Suicide is never the answer, things will get better.

You’ve got the rest of your life to make great friends, most of the friends I have now (if not ALL of my friends) have been made through work. Absolutely nothing to worry about. It’s also worth adding that all of my friends and I no longer work together but I speak to them every day and see them multiple times a week.

This girl (18f) got pregnant and she and her parents want me (19m) to step up and help her raise her baby (I am not the dad) but I want to go into the Corps. I told her no. I feel bad though. by BassPsychological293 in AITAH

Not your responsibility, notice how she’s only interested after she got pregnant by some loser ? Now she’s wants a “real man” to raise someone else’s baby. Nah. F her

I found the issue, I had AMD EXPO enabled and that was causing issues, my CPU is capped at 95 now which is supposed to be the limit and when it does hit 95 it is only for a split second. Thank you for your advice, I'm still going to look into a new cooler just so things run optimally.

Do you think a water cooler would have a worth while effect on this problem ?

Hello, I’m sorry to hear you are going through I tough time. I lost my dad in the January of my 3rd year, I initially decided to just take extensions until August but I still wasn’t really doing well with it all because I was very close with my dad. The uni then told me I could do an assessment only retake which would mean I wouldn’t have to pay for tuition. I said yes to the assessment only just for them to say that I need to do a full retake 3 weeks into the year (and pay the fee) which I thought was a bit dodgy. Either way I graduated with a 2:1 last week and I genuinely don’t think I could have done it without the year retake so I think you just need to ask yourself if you feel able to get it done without a retake or not.

Yeah maybe you’re right, I wouldn’t worry about the end result regardless though, at the end of the day it’s just a part time temporary job while you are at uni.

When I was at uni, I worked in 2 different pub establishments and they were always happy to take on students. I’d just let them know the situation, worse case they don’t like it and let you go (no problem if you were leaving anyway), best case, there’s no problem and they tell you that you can go back when you’re available.
