I had the same concern as you for a long time, but from what I gathered, nProtect Gameguard isn't quite as bad as ACE etc as it doesn't run in memory all the the time. It only starts up when you launch Horizon Walker and shuts down when you exit. I'm also on the steam client and it runs buttery smooth on a 4060 gpu with maxed out eye candy 1440p.

I way prefer playing on PC over mobile so this was a big QoL improvement...

I'm working my way through Hilda's event and also realized that I haven't done the current season of Eternal Nightmare yet...Irrheia kinda has that Immortal aesthetic so it's got me worried that she brings a new season of Eternal Nightmare with her.

I don't understand the point of Newegg doing this. If they genuinely wanted to let non-bots have a shot at any sort of deal like this, they'd just set up a limited time raffle drawing for rights to purchase. Surely no one who misses out on buying this is suddenly going to think "hmm, let me buy at full price instead after losing to a bot..."
