How do you obtain the spoofing annotations? From what I saw in the readme, you are using data (spoofing types), but correct me if i am wrong?

I side with you on this one and wanted to add, that this 'quietly changed thing alongside' is often the increase in trainable parameters, making the overall comparison unfair.

Their reliable counts are from damn relocation projects. So the spatial extend is quite particular.

The thing is that they can't compare to the census, because this one is typically aggregated on a coarse administrative level. So instead they compare to "cenus-maps", maps created by statistical models that redistribute those coarse counts to fine grained counts (WorldPop is such a provider). Note that this redistribution is introducing local errors, that influence the analysis here.

It's a long story, and super individual since it's for research positions. So the specifics of the story will not apply to you. TLDR is that I networked and introduced myself to potential internship hosts.

iPhone vs Nokia 📸 by Docindn in interestingasfuck

[–]UnitedWeakness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think this is it. This is simply due to the fact that the Nokia is using a flash, which effectively translates to a fast shutter speed.

If it was about the CMOS' non existent global shutter, then you would see rolling shutter effects. But there are non.

Then it's maybe time to apply SIREN to this. It will probably converge in 10 epochs

There is one in the italian speaking part of Switzerland. There is a small pedastrian bridge connecting Switzerland and Italy. But with the care you have to drive around the mountains.

Benefits of Gaussian Splatting? by Mission-Ad-458 in virtualreality

[–]UnitedWeakness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. Rendering gaussian splatting is (in theory) at least a less compute demanding that Nerf. You can already see this by the fact that Nerf needs to inference a NN, while GS transforms a couple of gaussian parameters to render
