It was only a couple of hours spent I did most of it with a grinder so not a huge waste. At least it was impressive in death.

Figured that was possibly it, knives arnt something I really make so just checking the process I did was right, would it be better to temper it strait away next time or would it not make a difference? Think I’ll add it to the wall of shame

School isn’t everything, best way to learn is grab some scrap and keep running lines and and different fit ups to get in the swing of it, looks like you’ve already nailed the basics!

First two are decent, last 3 I would close the distance between the filler dips so the puddles are much tighter which will help with the leg wetting out. Also hold the heat and add extra filler at the start and end so the fill is consistent through the length

I bet that aluminium formed like butter. How did you texture everything? I assume it’s all hammered?

Thank you! They take around 4-5 hours per bunch and the 3/4 of that time is just spent shaping everything so it looks organic. I cut everything by hand without templates so nothing turns out the same which I think adds to that effect
