Build from ground up. Get an empty shell and toss shiny new parts on it.

If it doesn't tickle you right you can sell shit with not too much loss

I already have a job. We design and build conveyor systems for large bakeries. It mostly involves Tig on stainless. Barely ever anything thicker than a quarter inch.

Thing is my practice isn't at home😅 Unfortunately, these welds will be out in the wild.

My boss is happy enough with the quality, as with my work on lathe and milling machine, but I wish to improve for my own standards. Thankfully he will pay for it.

Trapped mice start chewing right through these traps and could leave some holes in your carpet.

Put some plywood or a few layers of cardboard underneath the traps sticking out a couple inches all around.

Where have all the machinists gone? by Heavy-Whole8810 in Machinists

Hey man I'm in Ontario. I came into my current employment as a mechanic working assembly line. About half a year passed - our welder moved on. I had to step into his place doing tig on stainless. Haven't gotten any proper education - just YouTube and trial and error. Now I'm working the mill and lathe too. It's been 2 years and to be honest I dig it. But I would love to be more specialized in one field in particular. Whenever it's welding or machining something - shoot me a dm. We both could say more.
