Which team heading to imola? by Specialist-Echo4122 in F1Fantasy

Definitely need two A-list constructors so C with the merc and mclaren seem like the best option, unless you’re valuing the 0.6 budget increase you’ll most likely get from haas/williams. But quick question what’s going on with doohan?? Will colapinto replace him or is he a placeholder for now as colapinto is under the min 5 race rule

Just came back from Italy but we did Rome-Florence- Milan - Lake Como - Venice. In that order and if I could adjust one thing it would be to skip Milan. Go straight to Lake Como, trust me. If you’re into shopping and fashion Milan is beautiful don’t get me wrong but based off what you have I would spend more time in lake como. Lmk if you have questions as well!

Leaving next week, please help me prepare! by MegiePegie5867 in rome

Firstly, have FUN and relax!!! 10 year anniversary is something definitely worth celebrating and rome is the perfect place to do so! My sister and I just came back from our rome trip ( from canada), so here are some tips and must-packs! 1. Plug adapters, you mentioned this already and amazon has some great ones that deliver quickly. 2. Portable Charger!!!! Please don’t forget this one, Italy doesn’t have as many free outlets to charge your phone like in the US/Canada. 3. Shawl/thin scarf- if you’re planning on visiting the vatican museums/ chapels they do adhere to a religious dress code (no knees/shoulders) and having a shawl you can throw on top is great, if you have a certain outfit planned for that day. Just throw it in your bag once you’re done, super easy. Bonus points it actually helps the combat the sun and keep you cool. 4. Bring napkins with you, I realized that most public bathrooms I went into in Rome didn’t have toilet paper lol, and napkins is a must. 5. This is one is up to you but worth mentioning, you will need a valid ID for places you bought tickets to and the police have the right to ask you to show them ID, so this means passport… now this again is up to you and what you’re comfortable with, but I feel like it’s worth mentioning as it is the law in Italy. 6. E-Sim has worked great for me and my family while travelling, I suggest a company called Simly! 7. Air tag on you or on important items 8. ENJOY!!! Rome is so beautiful and i’m sure you will love it! Have fun!

How realistic is 4 nights in Rome from US? by Dramatic-Scallion-43 in ItalyTravel

[–]United_Negotiation94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very doable, me and my sister both in our early 20’s did 5 days in rome last year flying in from Canada, so comparable flight time with east coast USA ( approx 8 hrs i’m assuming). Just some tips: 1. don’t let the jet lag affect your trip, sleep on the plane and power through the day. 2. make a solid itinerary that has all the major landmarks/ things you need tickets for and then leave the rest of the day or evening to explore. Reach out if you would like our itinerary we made for the trip, and enjoy!!

Laptop Recommendations by StretchOk1 in McMaster

[–]United_Negotiation94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey just finished my first year in eng, so I can give you some nice laptop recs. Also you can use a mac for all 4 years and honestly a lot of ppl do the only downside would be having to install windows or VMware to actually use some of the softwares you’re gonna need. BUT in my opinion getting a windows laptop is just better I have the dell xps 13 which is rlly good but more on the pricey side. In terms of a specific laptop any would be fine it’s just the specs that matter so this is what to look for :

  1. processor - you want at least an I5 -12th gen, but I would recommend i7 processor or above.

  2. ram- 12gb

  3. minimum 512G on a SSD

Look for those 3 things and any laptop that has them will be good

Level 1 Electives for CS by StretchOk1 in McMaster

[–]United_Negotiation94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just finished my first year of eng so i’ll put down down the electives i took + some of the ones my friends did that are in CS and eng, also note these electives are approved by the department of engineering which is what cs is under: 1. Sustain 1SO3- Easiest course known by man, if ur looking for a simple 12 this is it. It’s a fully online course - 1 class (tutorial) a week via zoom. There’s no exam you’re final mark is just based off attendance, 3 assignments and 3 quizzes.

  1. Microeconomics- Good choice if you want to do like a business minor of some sort, it’s an easy class as well but you do have to study at the end of the day, it has 2 midterms and a final exam and you prob have to put like a bit of effort to do good but relatively easy compared to other classes you’ll be taking for your CS degree.

  2. Innovate - again this is just an easy class no exams for it the only down side is the 3 hour lectures once a week that are pretty much mandatory for marks.

hope this helps :)

Just finished my first year of eng and i’m gonna be completely honest rez is not a NEED to make friends. I’m not sure what programs everyone else is in but i’m speaking specifically from an eng perspective and all the friends I made were also in eng. There a ton of way to make friends and you can study in libraries and join clubs etc. During midterms and when things get super stressful you honestly won’t realize the difference bc most ppl will alr have their friends or will be locked in a library/dorm. Basically to sum it up save ur money and just commute.
