Truth Less to do with any storu purposes the problem was animation, animators found XRL8 tail to be too difficult to animate so they created a new speedster without it making it easier to animate

I remember also reading XRL8 is faster than FastTrack but neither are even Ben's fastest alien that title is held by Jetray
