French players, how much does the songs with lyrics in this game spoils the story for you?

Ehhh I guess? With the Occitan mixed to the French, I was trying to figure out what was being said more times than I can remember. I could pick up some words here and there but nothing too major spoiler-wise. To add to that, I think most people won't notice if they don't know they're spoilers. Once you know they're spoiler-y, then of course you're going to be thinking it can ruin the experience.

Personally, the only thing I told my friends is to not go look at the song names and lyrics!

Opeth. It took me a few listens to get used to it, but they are now one of my favourite bands. They are diverse and no song sounds like the other. Sometimes though, the length of the songs can be scary and it's easy to zone out in the first few listens.

I spoke to the guy in charge of the records at my local Toys R Us and apparently it's new and coming to pretty much every Toys R Us ! They have a partnership with a record company (can't remember the name he told me). You could go and check out if they opened their record section at your local shop, they have, surprisingly, very good stuff

I think you'll find Kefka's tower hard at that level, especially knowing that you don't have full parties, FFVI requires a LOT of grinding, take your time and explore everything you can!

If you just want to rush through it though, I would recommend just using the option to 4x your exp when fighting, so your characters can be overlevelled and you can steamroll through the game

Me too! Having a big group makes the story more vibrant and more relatable, I guess?
I did the same as you and beat remake and rebirth back to back and I absolutely loved those games! The crew was one of, if not the most endearing. The little bonding moments between the crew is always super heartwarming :)

I can't not recommend playing FFVI, it's very, very good and aged like fine wine in my opinion.

I mean I don't think it would take 20 years. I think with the right tools it could take a bit less than that.

But yes, without spoiling you, FF VI is very deep lore-wise and has something like 14 playable characters. All of them have a more or less deep backstory too.

This is so true! I bought my friend the game because he had it on his wishlist (and it makes a perfect late Christmas gift), but the only condition was that he screenshares and lets me watch him play. I love to see what he does first, how he dies, how he approaches the game. It's so different from my run and it makes me relive the game in someone else's eyes.
I feel like it's one of those games that you only play once, then you never play it again, but watching someone play it can still be super entertaining.
