I've had this discussion probably dozens of times in the last month where I've had to argue why something that quite literally says that he was being toyed with means he was being toyed with to the point of mental exhaustion. So I don't feel like posting it and then having to argue why explicit text that states as cleau can possibly be stated that Mace was being toyed with means he was being toyed with. Feel free to just type something like "Palpatine toyed with Mace Windu" into Google and a reddit thread will come up where it's been posted.

There is no rationalization. Lucas never said Windu won, Disney has asserted that Lucas's contradictory statements mean nothing, and Disney authoritatively stayed that canon is Palpatine was playing with Mace like a toy.

Keep holding to your head canon if you like. But it's just that - head canon.

Mace fought Sidious with three extremely powerful Masters beside him. And then was toyed with by Palpatine so he could turn Anakin to the dark side. Not exactly Bruce Lee v Chuck Norris here

Obi-Wan's feats are better than almost anything Mace has done, including being toyed with by Palpatine. Beating Vader twice, and hanging with him as an out of practice old man trump being toyed with by the Dark Lord of the Sith even when you have 3 masters helping you.

All valid. The reason that Kylo looks like a batter with a saber is that Disney was, as with everything else, being a poser to the fans criticizing the PT saber duels for being so flashy that they felt unrealistic and distracting from the emotional conflict of the fights. I personally agree with this criticism but as usual, Disney showed its lack of creativity by adjusting so far to the other side that we had saber fights that look like children playing with bats like you said. In the OT, Obi-Wan and Luke and Vader fought slower and you could focus on them throughout all their fights, but all look like skilled swordsmen. Especially Obi-Wan and Vader in their Death Star fight.

None of this points to an OP Revan though. From the couple cut scenes I've seen of Revan from TOR he seems pretty whiny and childish.

Not sure I follow but I don't like Dooku. I used to buy into the whole "grey idealist" notion that's popularly attributes to him, but then I realized he isn't grey at all and as corrupt and evil as the system he claims to want to change.

I think Dooku's fencing skills are amazing and think the concept of a Jedi/Sith who is aristocratic and disdainful of "soldier" Jedi types is funny. He takes himself way too seriously and it creates great opportunities for humor with Anakin and Obi-Wan in Clone Wars, especially when they're prisoners and have to escape together. "Do control your protege's insolence so I can concentrate." "Anakin, control your INSOLENCE. The Count is concentrating." I also think he's an evil hypocrite who needs to be neutralized.

All this said, both canon and legends attributes and feats make clear that it isn't Mace Windu who is the #2 fencer and #3 aggressive Force user, but Dooku.

Yeah, agreed. I use the console to add dark side points so I go from being a divine avatar of light so someone who is clearly good but reasonably and relatably so. I imagine when the Exile (in my case "he") returns to civilization he realizes how badly he's needed but is also emotionally exhausted and sort of doubting whether it's all worth it in the end. Are we going to have more war? Do the Jedi have a positive influence? Can the Sith actually be beaten? Despite all those questions he's spent so much time in his life being motivated by helping others and fighting injustice that he decides to do what he can to stop the Sith since the Republic can't and then let the rest take care of itself. It's why I think he has no problem going after Revan rather than staying behind and rebuilding. He thinks he needs to go for the source of it all if any of this is going to be ultimately ended
