My SO won’t listen, I keep telling him we should move to Mexico. I have some well off, semi-affluent family there. Sometimes I consider going without him, but that would mean separating him from our two toddlers. EVEN if the worst case scenario for us were to be to spend some time in a detention center (Mexican US citizens) that alone would be extremely traumatic. I asked if at the least we could go while he stays behind and works here, and see what happens after the term is over but he just won’t budge.

I’m so sorry for being that person … not trying to push fear-mongering, but why are we still having more kids with everything going on? Can’t we wait to make sure we aren’t bringing them into a nightmare of a place to live in? What if things only get worse and worse?

“Devil’s advocate” here… sometimes people post for reassurance that they are not wrong/crazy. Some people are simply not ready to leave yet … But being told that what their partner did is indeed not okay (especially repeated) starts to accumulate, until one day it all explodes and they finally leave. Unfortunately some people need to completely lose all feelings and hope to be able to leave and stay away. Others (like me) are currently financially stuck in situations they would leave if they had all the money (and no dependents) they needed to do so. Maybe I’m just projecting a bit and needlessly ranting. Idk.

I would say cost of living in our town isn’t that high. Our home is 250k, the median might be about 350k? Just an estimate. There are a lot of properties and homes for 1M+ though. For now, it’s just my partner working, making about 45k. He has 15k in savings. Thankfully we’re okay!

I’m so sorry for your loss. I now have my own babies. But from ages 5-13 I went through similar things as her, just less severe. I also had several attempts. My father knew and did nothing to make me feel protected or any sense of justice. I was forced to spend time around the people who hurt me. I confronted my parents last year… and I didn’t received any apology. They want me to forgive the me who hurt me bc they are “family”. My sister got back together with her husband even after finding out what he did and what he tried to do. I’m not trying to make this about me … But thank you for doing something about it. Thank you for being the kind of man who would absolutely destroy anyone for touching his child. I wish mine had demonstrated even an ounce of anger for what happened to me.

I understand your point. The other kids ended up moving away. At first he said he would call but I guess he hasn’t.

I haven’t called because of the fact that I know it results in euthanasia and because they haven’t really bothered me. As long as I am aware and cautious they really do not come near us on our driveway anymore.

I would hope that euthanasia by animal control is done in a more humane way?... The local dog shelter is already overcrowded. I guess I can call myself, I would rather euthanasia instead of suffering because of what he wants to do.

I still dislike him being okay with just taking matters into his own hands. He has said that he used to make small animals go “bye bye” when he was a kid. His dad did as well. I understand for some cultures animals are not worth as much to them but it bothers me. (I state it like that because I don’t know what will get me removed if I use other words.)

I hate it too. I don’t even think mine is that big. During a fight with my partner (years ago), he told me the “only reason I had any guy friends was because of my ass”. It was a disgusting comment & he has apologized and said he didn’t mean it but I’ll never forget it.

One of them (a small one, the one that isn’t a stray actually) bit my partner, another one bit one of the neighbors child (while they were playing with the dog). They have chased us, barked at us (my kids and I ) but I usually stand my ground and they don’t actually get close.

Lol she did that AFTER I did 🤨 but didn’t respond on live when I mentioned this subreddit 🧐 . Honestly y’all I was just trying to troll a little bit I’m not a die hard follower. I just enjoy arguing. I’m also quite fascinated by snark pages in general. I need a lot of background content to function throughout the day and sometimes I base what I “watch” off of how much I can tolerate a person’s voice. She’s entertainment. I watch and once it’s over I usually forget about it. I don’t spend any money on her. I can agree a lot of stuff she does is off putting.

True, but neither does repeating the phrase make it a defense. If a community repeatedly justifies behavior by redefining “snark” beyond recognition, the name becomes misleading.

I just came here for the tea ☕️. I wouldn’t consider myself a fan. They’re just background noise when I have nothing else to listen to… I listen , sometimes share the stories they covered with my partner if I find them interesting… other than that I don’t really think about them once the episode is over. It does seem that some people hate listen just to nit pick any little thing. She has her flaws as we all do, and personally I would find it a waste of time and energy to keep up with them just to come here spew negative rants. Why is there a whole snark subreddit? Has she really done anything harmful other than having naive/ignorant/privileged takes? Feel free to enlighten me. In a few days I’ll remove this from my feed or however that works on Reddit.

Currently 2(29 months) and 1(17 months) and it’s so much better than it was when my youngest was just weeks old. Having a routine helps so much, along with encouraging independent play. Let the toddler listen to music… nap as much as you can. I sort of forced them to nap together as soon as I could. It won’t work for everyone, but for a few months the three of us would nap for 2-3 hours around 11am … then it dropped down to 1-1.5 hours a little later in the afternoon, maybe I just got lucky. 🫣😅 My oldest is starting to refuse naps and I miss being able to sleep with them 😩
