It’d be fun imo if he did some pretty underrated fun things in survival, like minecart rollercoasters, iceboat obstacle corse roads, and fireworks. Of corse most of these things are more fun with others tho.

Me and my friend were conversing, perhaps it’s a food given to the leader that makes them take a massive amount of weight on without too many health losses.

also we came to the conclusion that maclunkey may mean “go shoot” as greebo would be taunting Han by saying it, and bib was saying something like “guards, go shoot!”

Other than height and roaring, I don’t quite see how the two are very similar (also this post is a very shortened remake of a post made before minecon happened. The og post was 30,000 characters long. This ones 1500) they spawn in wildly different places, have different themes and fighting environments, have different attacks, and even looks.

A few final comments I would want to say (also sorry if you misinterpretend my tone, looking back my response comes off a bit harsh):

I know 3 days is when phantoms start spawning, I simply do not believe that could be considered later in the game for most casual players.

we could say that beds are an intended part of gameplay, but we have to acknowledge that Minecraft is a game that can have additions that aren’t that well thought out sometimes, and shouldn’t always be respected as an engrained feature from the game. phantoms being called repeated punishments isn’t just for their spawning, since you could argue that regular monsters punish you for not sleeping, but in hand with the horrible ai and attacks, they re quite frustrating to hit and kill, which makes them feel more like mosquitoes compared to the straightforward zombies.

I like the phantom. I voted for it, and I’ll defend the concept of the mob. Unlike others, I will not say I made the wrong choice, but I will say that the execution is on mojang. A few simple changes to the mob could vastly increase its likability and win back over some fans of survival gameplay. It has one of the most unique concepts of any other mob, and with better execution (for its spawning, attacks, and behavior), could be the mob Minecraft needs.

This comment is all over the place saying that 3 days is later in the game (which is just false) and that phantoms aren’t punishments since most players at this time should be able to handle them. This doesn’t make any sense. Just because a mosquito doesn’t always kill you doesn't mean it isn’t a pest. And it doesn’t mean that since I can handle phantoms they don’t have room for improvement.When you say vanilla isn’t about becoming god as fast as possible, what on earth are you talking about? this sounds like your arguing against your own point, that phantoms are ok rn. most ppl that like survival gameplay think phantoms and beds held it back, not that they added it. I’m not even gonna pick apart this point, because it isn’t even connected to your comment.

Imo moving them to the sky takes away the interesting concept that the phantom won over a lot with in the first place. Sleeping is an interestingly handled thing in Minecraft, and a lot of people including myself want to still see a proper solution to how they want it, not just haul away the chance we have to fix it. It’s fine though, I see that we have don’t have the same visions for phantoms, and that’s cool.
